Well. Wade, Bosh and LeBron on the Miami Heat. Wow, hard team to beat.
What do you guys think about that? Dumb move by LeBron?
The best way to go when you are 25 years old is to try to win the championship on your own, to get a better legacy (Like Jordan). And people didn't give Kobe credit before last year when he won the Championship without Shaq.
Well, the LeBron James legacy has taken a huge hit if you ask me.

Lebron doesn't have a legacy imo. You have to be a team player to win championships and that hasn't happened but maybe he'll bevome more of one with this new team. Looks like the finals will be Celtics/ Magic vs. Heat. Its not a dumb move by Lebron its a dumb move by Bosh who had a choice of joining Lebron's team and actually took it. |

It's not like Kobe won the league alone, though. They have that small and insignficant center, who was he?
Oh yeah, Gasol. |

But Gasol is not a dominating player, like Shaq was. I mean Gasol i great dont get me wrong. But the Americans gave Kobe, finaly, the credit he deserves last year.

I bet they won't coexist. James and Wade are 2 of the best 3 in the NBA and Bosh is in the top 10. How do you coach'em? Who gets more minutes? Who gets more posessions? For who do you write plays? Who's your go-to guy? Being that good, they're egos are huge, they'll all want to be the superstar of that team. I really doubt the heat will stay in this form for more than 2 seasons. |

They are all in the Eastern Conference for one reason. |

Yeah for some reason I saw Miami being a Wes team. That'll be the best Conference finals ever though. |

Throw Chicago in there and you should have the top 4 teams in the East. LA still the team to beat in the West. |

Yep. (I just can't get over what I was thinking when I thought Miami was in the West. |

Yeah, Gasol did good in some games, but I do not have numbers on how many times I was frustrated with him in the playoffs for playing like a girl. Sometimes he simply didn't show up. The Lakers wouldn't have won it without him, but Kobe kept it all together like a true MVP!
And LeBron CAN'T be MVP next year!! He isn't even the best player on his own team |

I think because he's a pretty great player, who (almost) everybody liked. Because he was a very dominating player in his era and didn't come off as a whining diva who's only in it for the money, unlike now how pretty much every player in the league fits that description.
Also because he is quite an entertaining player off the court too.
So my question to you is, why the happiness towards his retirement? Or are you just a Kobe fan?

I'm german, so I'm mainly a Nowitzki fan (go Mavs), but kobe is great too, Shaq was just big, nothing else - and he's almost 40 years old, so it's about time |

So I guess being scoring Champ twice, is being "just big"? How many Center's do you know of, that have ever won the scoring championship other than Wilt Chamberlain? Probably not too many, expecially in the modern era.
I'll agree in the last few years he's just been "big" but back in his days with Orlando, and then Lakers, he was great.
Someone who is just big, would be Tyson Chandler, Marcin Gortat or Glen Davis.
BTW Dirk should get MVP awards even if they lose.

You're right, Shaq had his time, but it's clearly over, so I don't see why I should mind him quiting.
Let's see how Dirk can do tonight, game 1 wasn't his best, also the other Mavs need to step up
Edit: Great win for the Mavs
