Hello, I have noticed that whith the graphs at high the game crashes, bu why? I have an Intel Core i7 with 12 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 5870 (1GB RAM).
I have played to games like Crysis (it needs a good computer) with graphs at maximun and with 60 - 70 FPS. But in PCM I have to put lower setings. I can't put antialiasing, and can't configure the anisotropic filter in more than 2. It doesn't work with shader 3.0 neither.
The game crashes if the memory reaches 1.8GB, this seams to be a general limit for all windows applications (32bit).
Solution: Reduce the options
About your other configurations problems, some options exclude each other but you should get a hint about it after you changed them. But if the game ignores you settings, you have to tick the force option.

Thanks for the hint.

Im crashing during stages as well. I only crash when moving between two well distanced riders. For example the Peleton and a breakaway. I've all the options turned down and i know I have the graphics card abiility to run the game. Should i allocate more HD space to free memory? Or is there a way to boost that 1.8G shutdown point.
I have the same problem, also after the patch 1.0.2.0 Beta.
CPU I7 860, ATI 5870, 4GB men, W7 x64.
The game crashes during 3d sim mostly after 10/15 min
