Fact of the day: Gueugnon is encouraging green tourism, despite being known as an Industrial town and according to letour.fr it's "well worth a visit"

Looking forward to another sprint finish?

I guess so. Maybe we see the first real Cavendish/Petacchi sprint today.
But of course hopefully Ciolek will get it today. Grin

Another boring stage until the last 20km...Lang, Perget and Perez Moreno have 1:05 to the peloton.

And i was still able to bet my PCM$ even the stage was startedWink

Probably same than yesterday. Always just a few minutes and then they catch them in final 5km. Where is Arashiro. I`d like to see him like he promised yesterday.

i think the breakaway will win today

8 minutes with 170km to go is really not much IMO
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

No, it won't. I doubt that a brakeaway will manage to stay away until the second week. HTC-Columbia with a little help from the other sprinter teams will control the brake easily.

That would have to be one hell of a breakaway

Only Arashiro could do something like that.

Both the Bourg-de-Peage - Mende and the Chambery - Gap are stages that can end in a brakeaway if the peleton wants to take a little rest. Both stages are too tough for most of the sprinters.

The next time someone perpetuates the stereotype that Scandinavians have no feelings or sense of humor, remember the other norwegians to hide you in a closet before starting a rebuttal Pfft

From cyclingnews coverage:

Jens Voigt was one of the last riders to sign on. Benson asked how the team would approach today’s stage. “If they listened to me we’d go flat out and then see how far we could go. They don’t want to listen to me. I suggest it every now and then though."

Jens is great! Smile
