Hi, i'm going to be part of a stagemaking competition where the goal is to make a fantasy tour.
I wonder if it is possible to have a interesting finish on Champs-Elysses where somebody possibly can ride solo in the streets of Paris, with the yellow jersey and his helpers trying to close the gap.
Are there any hills/mountains in a close distance to Paris? |

There are hills, but none significant enough to make much of a difference.

There are some small hills but nothing big enough be cald mountain/hill stage...
When you say in a close distance is it 10-20km away or more?

So it can make a difference, a small group maybe..
Or i have thought in another way, finishing on the promenade in Nice would be great. There nothing is decided until the end. |

The problem with Paris is that while there may be some small hills on the outskirts, and gaps will be wiped out by the multiple laps of the Champs Elysses.

if it's a fantasy tour couldn't you just invent a mountain range |

Well that was a remarkably useless comment Ringo. Fantasy doesn't mean unrealistic.

well it tickled me
and if you look up the definition of fantasy then you will see that the point i made was, in fact, perfectly valid. |
