Hi, I'm kinda tired of playing with only RN DB's without any equipment, new teams, new riders etc. So now I'm thinking of making my own DB, SuperDB 2010. I can't do this project all on my own, so I wondered if someone out here would help me make it.
I'll need:
2 Graphic guys. (Equipment, shirts, background etc)
2 Stage-makers.
1 Search guys. (Find pictures of equipment, find teams etc)
And a guy that can make an .exe file. 
I have:
2 Statmaker (One is awaiting)

DB work, Graphic stuff, and search. I suck at making stat, and can't make stages. It's going to be a big DB, so I need many people, but maybe I took too many people.. I'm probably going to change it a little bit.

... and you're going to ask how to do anything in the DB
How are you going to find these people? Best graphic artists, statmakers etc. are busy with some serious projects.
When next patch will be released, your DB will be rather useless. So why do it now?
And why do you think that your DB could possibly be better and finished earlier than PCM Daily's DB? |

A SuperDB is no bad idea, but the PCMDailyDB will be released soon, and so this DB can only be successful with another main focus, e.g. smaller teams, junior teams or something like that.

That's not the point of it at all. The points he summed up are all true.
First, like Pazflor said, he can't do it alone, but it's his DB so he still has to do most work. Is his knowledge of PCM and cycling in general high enough to make one? Can he lead a group of ppl to succes? etc.
Second, the reason he wants the DB is because he is sick of playing with RN db's. Well, this DB has to start from the very basics. PCM. Daily, has there past DB's to rely on and change, although bringing out a new DB for them also requires a few weeks to months? So i don't see any way possible how, like Adams said, this DB is going to be ready before PCM.Daily's. Which is the whole reason why he's making it in the first place.
Third, and i might be wrong here, but like i mentioned, a DB is a huge project. And from what i can understand from the name and what you said, it's going to be a rather big DB. So if Pazflor happens to lose his interest halfway trough and decides to call it, then god knows how many hours have been wasted.
And then actually an extra point. 2 Stage-makers. Stage-makers are with fewer compared to shirt-makers, and with almost no real stages in the original DB's and the stages from 09 not compatible, i don't think you'll find alot of stage-makers.
And no, this is not to demotivate, this is just realistic thinking.
If you do go on with this, then why not use shirts from other DB's, that already saves alot of work. And start with a realname DB as a basic so you don't have to change that to. Photo's aren't to hard either as it's the same case as shirts.

I was talking about the whole how could you ever possibly think it would be better than the Daily db. It may be a very hard task to do (create a better db than pcm Daily *compliment*) but still.
It never said anywhere that the db was to be released before the Daily db nor did it say before the next of many patches nor did it say they were trying to beat out the daily db so not sure where he got that from but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say the team he was 'cheering' for in the world cup lost.
I'm sure those tips will come in handy.

Pazflor was bored on Saturday afternoon and got it into his head that he'd make a .db without really thinking about it.
No great crime in that and happens fairly often too. |
