Season Mode Crash

So the game crashes with a Run Time Error right after I pick a team and click "Next" to start a season mode or when I select the last rider of a draft. I just updated the video driver as was recommended in the other Run Time Error thread, but it still crashes. Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions? Anyone else have thise problem? Thanks!

Do you use the original DB? If not, try that to see if it is related to the DB. |

It is unrelated to the DB because it just crashed when I tried to use the original.

Likewise here. I can play entire stage races just fine, but can't launch a season.
Also, although I can start a career, I cannot load a career save when I've exited. I have no problem loading savegames in Stage Race mode.

I have the same exact problem. I can play the other modes with no problem, but when I click Season it just crashes with a run-time error as soon as I pick my team.
I have the DVD version of the game with the patches installed. I have tried it with the default DB and with the new daily DB(Patched of course).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

same issue here...can't run a season, which i'd really, REALLY like to do as i'm not totally prepared for what career mode offers

For me it has happened with all versions of the game and all versions of all databases.

I've had this since the beginning as well.
However, now that career mode has mostly been fixed, I can't really be bothered to care. |

If someone with a beast computer also has this problem, then my theory, is wrong, but I think it might have something to do with, RAM, or proccesor, or one of those computer, do-dads, inside.

Last week I installed a new video card with more than the recommended specifications (I had the problem with the old video card as well). My computer has the recommended RAM and processor type and speed.
Based on that, I don't think it's the machine.
That being said, valverde321's response gave me an idea. Perhaps it's a configuration issue. When I get time I'll experiment with different graphics settings and see what happens. |

I don't have a beast of a computer. I usually play with all graphics settings very low. I take screen shots from replays, for which I up the settings.
That being said, valverde321's response gave me an idea. Perhaps it's a configuration issue. When I get time I'll experiment with different graphics settings and see what happens.
You can give it a try, although I've tried to start the mode with settings as low as possible and still get the error. |

So let me get this straight! After 5 friggin years this company has not even BOTHERED to reply to this issue!? I paid 40 bucks for this damn game and I WANT IT FIXED!! I'm not spending another DIME on a newer version unless we are GUARANTEED that the Season Mode will work!  |
