PCM.daily 2010 DB problem

I downloaded the database the other day and put everything in what I think are the right files (it is mixed in with all of the original game's files). I can go in and open the files and see the jerseys, etc. But when I open the db editor or the game, nothing has changed. The only thing I might have done wrong is not download the latest patch. Will that make it so the database doesn't work?

1. Why not install the patch?

2. Did you pick it in Options -> Database?

1. I downloaded the game without discs, and when I install the patch it tells me that I need discs to open the game, so I have to uininstall and reinstall it.

2. I don't even think it is an option for me to choose in options -> database. What is it supposed to be called?

If you're talking about the V1, there's a backup of the database files in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/PCM.daily DB Backup. There's a ReadMe file inside the folder.
