Can you give me some more information. Like what specs your graphics card has. These can be found by going to START MENU>RUN then type dxdiag in the box. Once a box loads up click on the display tab at the top and under DEVICE it should list your graphics card.

To update your drivers its easy.
Right click on MY COMPUTER and choose properties.
Click on the HARDWARE tab then click DEVICE MANAGER.
Under display adapters you should be able to see your graphics card listed. Simply right click and choose update driver.

Not sure if this will solve your problem. Maybe best to explain it a little more and someone else with more knowledge can help you out.

I doubt that an Intel card can run the game. Usually, they aren't very good.

I am using A Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) and my graphics card is a Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller. The problems are that the landscape and riders aren't showing up in the game all you can see is floating names, shadows, cars, and the road.

As said, I certainly doubt that that graphic card is good enough to run PCM.

Cyanide says that you need a INTEL GMA X3100 OR HIGHER and my understanding of numbers and letters says that you are way below

Do you know how a computer works?
There is a CPU and a GPU, both are hardware and are used to calculate stuff. The GPU is needed to calculate the stuff you see on your screen. If the GPU is to slow or to old it cannot calculate everything needed to display this game.
Your GPU is called "Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller".
So to answer your question: Hardware cannot be downloaded.
Also you cannot replace parts in a notebook so you only choice would be to play this game on another computer.

I have a PC not a notebook so is it possible to just replace the graphics card or is that just impossible.

You can replace it. That'll be lots of $ though.

it may not be lots of $$$. it will require work on your behalf though. find out if your grpahics card slot in your pc is agp, pci-e. then look at the recommended system reqs for pcm. shop around ebay for a similar sort of graphics card, hopefully better, and whamo! you should be set to go. if you have trouble finding out info just google stuff, it has answers to most things.

I would say its worth it. You can probably play every single other game for PC at the highest gfx's possible if you get a good graphics card. Its just it will cost lots. But I really wish i had the money to get a high priced graphics card to make PCM so much more playable and enjoyable. But in the end its only worth it if you think it is and probably how bad you want the game to work. And since you came here looking for help that answers the question.
