A small prologue starts this Spanish race. Several TT'ers are here just to try their luck in 5km. After that, two hilly stages which will select the candidates for the GC which should be decided right in the end of the 4th stage, after a gruelling climb in the end of the stage. The sprinters also have chances to shine, as the three last stages are flat.

Despite the fact that this race clashes with two more, there's a good field in Catalunya. Valverde, who is arguably the best rider in the roads, is here and tops a list of favourites which also includes Pozzovivo, Úran, Plaza, Castano, Menchov, Arroyo and Pedraza. In the sprints, Granjel Cabrera may perform, but Avelino and Lo Cicero are fast and willing to take a few stages also. |

Looking forward to this one. Cafe de Colombia's first big test of the season - Top 3 required for the sponsors. |

Hopefully Plaza will be luckier than Gesink or Posthuma and he will bring us our first top result of the season

Why is Samoilev my team's leader?
Bakelants could have had a chance of a decent result if he was the leader. Now I'll be lucky if actually attacks in one hilly stage and doesn't drop back to help the "leader".

Thrilled to be here, we hope that Red Bull can match the performances of the Paris Nice and Tirrano Adriatico Wild Cards. Though we doubt it - they have awesome teams there.
Ozozco is our main breakaway hope, look forward to it! |

It's taken me every season up until now to realise the same thing with Bos. That's why Bos is racing rarely this year

Half my team don't know who is. He's never there in the peloton

Some day everyone will realise that who the startlist puts first means absolutely nothing in terms of team leader.

Oooh, so so close. Had hoped to win that TT too, with the better TTists all elsewhere.
Oh well, I guess that should mean theres no chance the team working for him over Uran - as Ford will be moving right towards of the bottom of GC immediately.

Well on paper I have another strong lineup here, but I did that aswell in Tirreno and Paris, so nothing expected here.

Also worth mentioning, Suaza, the main GC man for Carmeuse lost more than 2 minutes today.

Plus, not a single rider in the front group

Bakelants better damn well attack in the next stage or I'll send his ass to Carmeuse next year!

Damn, so close. Danacik second in all classification, not too shabby. Really like the offensive riding my team is delivering.

A good hilly stage, in that not much happened. If Uran doesnt lose anything on the likes of Valverde on the hills, he stands a strong chance in the mountain stage and GC

All that TT training for him, but he will lose more in the hills

He's only got 65 Hill. Why did I bring him here then?
First, of many, tactical blunders this season
