Hi, just started playing PCM again after a long break. I have the download version so only have 3 installs, then my question is: are you gonna release an update for the PCM.daily's 2010 DB?
If not i think im going for RSM News DB since its released much later and probably have more realistic stats (atm).
Thanks for answers! |

Yes, but it'll probably be a month or two more until it is released. |

I don't actually think that those DBs have more realistic stats than PCMDaily has. Anyway, if you'll look in thread about this Db, you'll see that it will be released before PCM10, so I think, it's not so far

We'll be releasing an update to the PCM.daily 2010 DB at the end of the Giro d'Italia. |

A couple of questions about the update..
Will it have Tour of Oman? Will the Giro stage with the gravel roads have "cobblestones" unlike the current version? What about the Arenberg stage in the TdF? |

1. I haven't checked if it has been made by the community. If it has, it will be included. If not, don't count on it.
2. Probably not. I tried adding the stage made in 2008 (with gravel) to the game, but it's not compatible.
3. No, it messes up the AI too much. |

will you add in the new update a feature to have more big riders at Giro, like Contador, Evans, Schleck, etc? It's the only bad thing I noticed in this db.
It would be great also if you add more GT variants
There are also some smaller bugs:
- riders like Noè, Simoni or Cuesta still racing in 2012
- a lot of new riders have black skin (I'm not racist, but it's not realistic to see a coloured Danish or German rider in the peloton!)
- the presence of very old riders coming back from suspensions, like Heras, Kessler, Fertonani or Landaluze
I repeat, theese are only small bugs, the patch is amazing |

Black riders bug isn't a BD bug, it's game itself

Thanks for the feedback - greatly appreciated.
I haven't noticed the thing with black-skinned riders myself. Are you talking about generated riders?
Concerning the old riders still racing, it's the game's job to make them retire - I can't change that in the DB. |

Yes, I was talking about the self-gen riders. Concerning the old riders, even if you can't change this bug, I think you could remove from db some dinosaurs like Heras & Co, isn't it?
And what about the possibility to have more stars at Giro? I saw a patch which managed to do that.
Another suggestion to improve the game: it would be great to add a injury of 1 or 2 years called "Epo ban" happening 6-7 times during the season to random riders, just to make the play even more realistic, as if UCI or WADA would find some new doped ones!

I'll look into the self-gen riders.
I do agree that Heras should be removed as there's no chance he'll return to cycling. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kessler nor Fertonani back.
About the Giro, which patch is that? I haven't succeeded, despite many attempts.
I'm not sure about the EPO ban. We already have the injury in the DB (suspended by UCI) which is used for Thomas Dekker and co., so it just needs to be activated. So far, I'm still in favour of letting this be deactivated by default, but since it's in the DB, you can easily activate it yourself by changing a number of two using an editor. |

yes, but I don't speak about riders already suspended in reality. What I mean is to have the possibility, during the game, to have new riders randomly banned by the cpu thanks to this form of injury. For example, to have Contador banned in 2011 for 1 or 2 years as he occures in this kind of injury, it would be funny! |

I was talking about this patch (https://www.cyanide-studio.com/forumPCM/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1362) which has theese features concerning about GT.
But I never downloaded this db so I don't know if it actually works, mine was just a suggestion to add something like this to your db |

I personally know Fertonani as he lives 5 km far from my home, and I can ensure you he will never come back: he's a lot of money and now already refused some offers from some Italian Professional teams |

You mean that's already possible to have random suspensions along the play, or only that is possible to activate this injury for a rider (example: Pellizotti or Valjavec) before to starting the carreer mode? |

I'm talking about the same as you.
We already added the injury, but we didn't activate it.
You can do so by editing STA_injury and STA_injury_label. In the first table, edit fkIDtype_injury_origin to 2. In the latter, change gene_flist_probabaility to e.g. 0.4 (it's the probability of getting caught. The higher the value is, the higher the chance of being caught) and again, fkIDtype_injury_origin to 2. |
