Strange one, the peleton whittled down to about 80ish riders, I attacked over the top 3km to go with Karpets as Cunego and Scarponi went with about 20 others. The sprint is quite hilly, timed my sprint with Karpets utterly wrong and finished at the back of the lead group as the peleton closed in.
So 19th with Karpets.

If you set it to mountain, you'll see GC-riders attack continually on the flat part after the mountain.
Ultimately, the results are more realistic with a flat setting rather than the mountain (or, well, we'll see how the stage ends in real life, but in theory, the current setting's the best ). |

The time gap setting could perhaps do with being a bit lower, I found it somewhat ridiculous that the sprinting began at 3km to go.
It caught me out a bit, but still, I managed 10th with Karpets.

14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th with Mazzanti, Petrov, Karpets, Pozzato and Caruso. I started to sprint too early.

Surprised that you got 5 to compete at the finish on Extreme. Didnt the likes of Mazzanti and Pozzato suffer on the climb?

I doubt we will be seeing a 112 man group competiting at the finish in real life, as happened in game for me.

First stage I've played in a long time. Don't really like extreme too much.
10th with Pozzato. Should've done better but Karpets blew completely leading him out. Pozzato was also nearly the first rider over Monte Grappa being the last of the riders in the break to be caught about 200m from the summit.

The settings for that stage do need some work, I admit |

Ultimately, even if the game makes it so that they attack on the flat rather than the climb, itll give more realistic results than a glorified bunch sprint

Yep, Pozzato really suffered on the Monte Grappa. He dropped from the peloton but he got back on the descent. Mazzanti and Caruso not - they had +5 and +3 form of the day.

Sastre and especially Tondo were really strong (+2 and +5 form of the day). So here are the results:

Well Sastre had daily form of -2 for me and could only manage 5th behind Nibali, Cunego, Wiggins and Evans.
A good fun stage mind you! |

Just 5th with Sastre for me. No way I'm going with any of the AI's suicidal attacks here. Tondo was sacrified for Sastre.
