Effort during several days races
pesci
Hi all,

I have read some different opinions about it so I would like to know it for sure.
the question is simple,
Does a rider feel any how the effort done the day before?
Does a rider who participate on the sprint the day before suffer any consequence the day after?

Typical Valverde example, if he is trying t fight for any sprint will he pays it in the day after mountain stage?
Or someone who makes a 150 km scape one day will his leggs be fresh the day after?

Thank you very much!!

I guess that's what the recovery skill is covering...

actually the recovery skill is not counted during races but more of a potential type of deal. The rider gets fatigued slower basically. It doesn't affect anything in 3d mode.
Dont worry I used to think the exact same thing until I read Crommy's stat tutorial thing.

I think the answer is, he may. In each stage, you lose some green bar. Depending on the recovery ability of the rider, he will regain some/most of that for the next race. However, you'll notice that as a tour progresses, he will have less and less green bar at the beginning of each race. This IS dependend on how much he had left the day before. Therefore, I'd think that sprinting may (depending on how much energy you have to waste) impact his performance a little bit the next day. Much more of an effect will be made by expanding a lot of energy by attacking in stages.

I don't really get the point of having good recovery stat.
I just finished a Giro I ended 2nd with
Le Mevel (82 in recovery 79 in MO 72 in TT)
behind Cunego (72 recovery 77 MO 69 TT)
and in the last week of the Giro Cunego was always stronger even though Le Mevel was at 95 form...
Team Europcar !!

Cunego is italian, so he got a boost of his stats during the giro.

This can be really annoying Grin Especially in spanish races like Pays Basque or Catalunya it is very hard to win against all the Spain + bonus. Navarro was always way better than Nibali etc.
