I've heard some people say that it's cheating when you look at the potential of a scouted rider in a kind of editor how can i do that? |

so you want to cheat, he?
Use either full editor v.4 or hannes converter to open your save. The table is called DYN_young_cyclist.
Then scroll way to the right to find a column called fkIDstaff_scout. Sort the data by this column (AI teams do not scout so all numbers greater then 0 represent your scouts). Then scroll left to find the column value_i_potentiel (which represents the pontential if you haven't guessed already). 8 would be the hightest potential.
When using the full editor you can hide columns you are not interested in making it easier to have a overview but loading takes longer so I use hannes converter. |

How does AI pick young riders? It seems like they make bad decisions again and again. Is it just random or are they more likely to sign the better riders? |

Check the entire table. The names of the countries are in the table along with the IDs. |

I do not consider it cheating because the scouts in the game are so extremely wrong when it comes to potential.
I use the best scouts to scout some regions. Then I have a quick look in the DB to see the real potential. But I still use the scouts to observe the cyclists (to see their stats).
You could determine the real potential by looking at the stats in the game after all, because the stats are directly related to potential. It just would take longer to scout all young riders.
