i think it goes pretty long...BUT
that at 2014 or 2015 the same profiles of the race is as same as the start ... that is my teory

PCM9 can easily run as long as at least 2017. That's as long as I made it once. Playing with a new career, I'm now at 2011.

Career mode is as long as you want it be

I can only speak for 2010 pcmdaily db. there isnt really any limitation. Well there is a problem that the balancing of the riders mid-term and long term isnt really good, mid-term there much much much to good riders and long term(above 2020) then there are less really good riders then mid-term. And especially there are way to much good-very good sprinters. And the best sprinters concentrate on around three teams so you have 3-4 riders with acc and spr 85 in one team followed by more sprinters with acc and spr above 80.
There is also an accumulation of good tour riders and climbers in 3-4 teams you could argue that in real life its the same. I still think its a bit to much.
All in all i hope in future versions of pcm cyanide will work a bit more on that team balancing long term and mid term.

lets be honest, it's until the bugs in the game finally drive you over the edge and you delete the saved game, usually about 3-4 seasons

Waghlon
Yeah, lets be honest. The game sort of tend to self destruct within 5 seasons.

With PCM 07 I once took a Wisenhof career to 2020, and I must say the seasons ran the gamut of possibilities. Some years you would have realistic team distributions and results. Other years you would have the 7 best riders in the game all on the same team.

I distinctly remember the best rider in the world during the 2016-2018 years, as he was a Luxemburger I scouted who won in 2018 (for a different team), all three Grand Tours, both World Championships, and LBL. He had twice as many PT points as anyone else (his name was Louis Gaul btw, perfect for a Luxemburger).

I used to have one of the season summary page from 2018, but when I submitted it to the site it got "lost in the pipeline" (I've always suspected Waghlon).

I could search around, but I doubt I still have it.

Yeah, I never did that, as I preferred to keep a really good classics team and then an outside GC guy (I won P-R 3 years in a row with 3 different guys at one point). The only good GC guy I ever got was (and yes this is real), Abraham Lincoln, who won the 2012 tour for me before demanding way too much money for the next year (I think I mentioned that part of this career once, I don't remember where though). The best was that Bouygues got bitch-ass good in the last year of the game, and CSC became a tiny budget team with 8 riders with none over 70 or something close to that.

I remember all this really well because I literally spent a year playing that career every day before I lost it when the computer got a virus and we had to reinstall the OS.

EDIT: figured out where I mentioned it https://pcmdaily.com/photogallery.php?...to_id=1096

Where did you read that?

from the french interview

'But the heart of Pro Cycling Manager is the career mode, which puts you in the shoes of a team manager, you face the full schedule over five seasons, with thirty riders and sponsors to manage to please.'

CrueTrue
My guess is that it's either 1) wrong, or 2) refers to the new career mode where you can pick a selected amount of teams and races.
