The Danish team is back after staying more or less comfortably free of relegation danger during their first run in the ProTour. With improved riders and more experience, the team has to perform even better this time around to stay clear of the now four relegation spots.
On this site a presentation of the team will follow, when the transfer season is over. Again this year Team B&O are not going to alter the team in any major way, besides hiring some new potential talents.

Finish in the Top 10 in the Team Rankings
The team stood inside the Top 10 for a great deal of last season, so with an improved and knowing the ProTour somewhat better, Team B&O now feel confident enough to achieve that goal.
Have a rider on the podium at Liege-Bastogne-Liege
The team did exactly that already last season, as team captain Edvald Boasson Hagen raced his way to 2nd place behind a untouchable Frank Schleck. Again the team will be looking to the Norwegian to help them with this goal.
Stage Win in the Tour de France
Again something the team has proved it can deliver. Last season Alex Pluchkin won Stage 11 of the most prestigous stage race in the world and ended up overall 6th, despite of a crash in the early stages of the race. For this goal the team has more strings to play on.
Finish on the Podium in Paris-Nice
This goal is team captain Alex Pluchkin's to achieve. Last year he finished 9th in Paris-Nice, but again he lost time due to a crash in one of the early stages. So hopefully his Top 10 achievement can be exchanged to at least Bronze giving placing.
Have a rider on the Podium in the Fallen Leaves' Classic
Edvald Boasson Hagen dissapointed heavily in last season's Giro di Lombardia, but the Norwegian demands revenge and is keen on showing that he can do much better in what is arguably the most beautiful classic of them all. Or maybe the team have someone different for this target?
Maxime Bouet and Thomas de Gendt towards new challenges
Two of the prolific time trial specialists and there from the start of the team's history, are leaving after three seasons at Team B&O after having a great spell at the talented team.
Maxime Bouet's most important and only win while racing for B&O came in 2009, when he won World ITT Championships for U23 Riders in Paris. Other than that he is done a great job in supporting the team leaders and showed incredibly loyality throughout his time at this aspiring team. Bouet is changing to a French run team, namely Auber 93 - Look, who will definitely benefit from the Frenchman's great tempo skills.
Belgian Thomas de Gendt is moving to Czech-based team Milka, who also will benefit from a very strong time trialist, who has the ability to lead the team in stage races suited for his abilities. De Gendt had a great time at Team B&O although he struggled scoring individual results in his first season at ProTour level, he had a big share in lifting the team forward and helping the leaders to succes. In 2009 he had a fantastic season though taking four victories - including two stage win in Volta Ciclista al Lleida, a time trial in Volta a Portugal plus the LuK Challenge Duo TT alongside former teammate Roman Kreuziger.
We wish them and their teams all the best in coming season!
Team B&O has finalized their team for the 2011 Season.

The transfer season is nearing the end for Team B&O, who once again have been satisfied about which riders came in and out from their ranks.
Two time trial specialists who were both there from the very start of the team has left in pursuit of new challenges, namely Maxime Bouet and Thomas de Gendt, while three new has already joined the 2nd Year Pro Tour Team.
The first one already made his first appearance for the team last season and took an impressive stage win in the Deutschland Tour for Team B&O in his first season ever. This is of course the Danish Time Trial Prodigy Michael Færk Christensen who has now permanently joined leaving Team IKEA - Bianchi. He's going to be a very important rider for the team.
Next one is a guy who contains a lot of raw speed and ability on the track aswell, namely Alex Rasmussen who joins from Auber 93 - Look in a swap including Maxime Bouet, who from now on will be riding under his own national colours. Alex is primarily going to take part in the small tours and on occasion going for a good individual placing whenever he is not leading out sprinting captain Kobe Vanoverschelde.
Number three and the last Dane to join the team for the new season is unarguably the biggest talent from the country out there. We are of course talking about Rasmus Guldhammer, a guy who the team knew they wanted from the start and managed to get hold of aswell. He is expected to make big things in either the Grand Tours or the Classics in the future, but this year the team has agreed on a loan deal that lets him start out gently on the Continental Tour for Team Telenor-SAS.

After a weak start to the season Team B&O is gradually picking up the pace. After team captain Boasson Hagen won the Amstel Gold Race last month and Alex Pluchkin took overall 2nd plus a stage win in Tour de Romandie, the team is now also the leading team of the Giro d'Italia with the Danish TT talent Michael Færk Christensen wearing pink.
The biggest highlight though, came in stage 4, the team time trial. B&O had deliberately fielded a strong tempo team for particular this stage and it paid off as the team just managed to edge out Sony Ericsson to grab the stage and the leaders jersey for Michael Færk. The team's first leader's jersey in any Grand Tour.
