Once and for all:
I have had to defend my choice of offering the No-CD crack several times. People say that "an official fan-site shouldn't do that", but we're not an official fan-site. PCM:daily can do as it wants to. That's one point. Another point is that we wouldn't host it if we knew there weren't any problems with the protection system. But we know there's a lot of buyers out there who has experienced several problems with even loading the game, thanks to Starforce. For example, one of them is Stuart. With the CD-patch, these people can play the game which they have bought for their own money. Okay, some people who haven't bought the game might find the patch here, but even if we remove it, they will easily be able to find it somewhere else. Actually, I'm pretty sure the crach is included in the package they download. That's why we have it here.

The game had been cracked 2 weeks after the release so what's the point to say why did you did that because we had here some complaiments that cd-patch or exe dont work and this solved thery prob
So i think crue true did the best choice

@Crommy: I don't think that does matter. There are a lot of people who reject cracks and stuff just for the purpose of that it is unethical of some sort. I disagree. You can check this website here: https://www.glop.o... which provide some 'support' for CrueTrue's argument

some people need themlike stuart, obviously some people will use it by other means, but that's their choice, and the people that moan about them as i said before are just stupid for that reason i said befoer as well

Of course, but the point of those people is that people benefit who should not be benefiting from cracks et cetera. I myself use a lot of images and deamon tools, so I don't have to change cd's/dvd's (lazy) or carry them all with me (which is effective). |

And theres is no way to have a crack for this patch? Because i hate to have to put the cd in the driver, almost everyday, and i would like to lend it to my cousin but i cannot because of the starforce |

modification of original program code without consent of owner of the code probably breaches copywrite. I don't think the issue is so much whether someone bought the software or not but whether someone has the rights to alter/reverse engineer the executable code.
I personally appreciate cracks. I'm a lazy computer operator, Diskswapping and putting back into original sleeve drives me up the wall. I tend to create an image - it's the first thing i do...it' makes install faster and applying a crack saves me hunting for the originals which have since become buried/lost or unusable - kids get them. I don't know how to copy the copy protection into the image so cracks help. generally my originals end up mixed with other DVDs/Music CDs or on top of my tower - I intend to put them away but never do or if I do, i find I lose one of the disks.
Yes I know bad computing habits.

Oh in a perfect world...
and, only_one, if you wanted to do that you simply only installed pcm (internet disconnected) then download patch 1.0.1.0 and the no-cd crack that goes with it - and tell him never to be online when he plays incase it automatically updates. You obviously keep your CD. That would be one way to do it. I on the other hand, in no way advocate piracy - why doesn't he cough up and buy the game? If hes a little tight, you could get pcm2006 at a discount - and with all the updates available its currently a better prospect! |

Hi there, I've used a crack on my version because, after twice paying for the downloaded version (and the persistent problems that followed) I borrowed the game, so I don't own the CD.
Considering I've payed twice, I don't consider myself in the wrong!
It still inconveniences me as I need to find a new crack with every patch that comes out on this bug-ridden game...
Anyway, does anybody know of a no-cd for 1.0.2? I installed it but then my no-cd didnt work so I reapplied my no-cd PCM.exe file for now, until I find a new crack.
