I get this message on start-up of the game and the game will not run.
The odd thing is that it did work when I first installed the game but the second time I ran the game I got this message.
I restored the system to how it was immediately prior to this happening and it ran perfectly. I then shut the game down and tried to re-run and got THE message again. So it seems as if the first running of the game after installation is causing the problem.
My system and graphics cards are plenty good enough:
2 x NVDIA Geoforce 8800 GTS (both at 640mb)
4gb of RAM
and the drivers for all the hardware are up to date (I checked this).
Can anyone help?
In should also say that I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit. |

Well, Vista problems again. Really PCM and Vista are not the best friends. Excellent computer, btw. I will buy one of these in my dreams tonight...

Really? Are you saying that I should just give up because I am running Vista? No solution? |

I'm afraid of saying "Yes". Try to have two OS at the same time, and in the next edition you only use Vista...

You can try to install XP on a disk partition, and then play PCM with XP. Or try to do this: go to the application data folder hidden in the disk, and erase the PCM07 folder inside him every time you want to play... If that doesn't work, I don't know other solution...

Thank you. I will try deleting PCM07 in the application first and let you know how I get on. Cross fingers... |

Could you give me a hint please Marco? Where do I find the application data folder? |

I have the answer!!! For all those having problems running PCM in Vista:
1. Find PCM07.exe in Explorer
2. Right-click the exe file and click "Properties"
3. Click the "Compatibility" tab
4. Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode" box.
5. Select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"
Et voila. PCM works in Windows Vista! |

Actually the exe file is called "Autorun PCM2007" but it works nonetheless. |

Well yes, it took a bit of searching on the Microsoft Vista support site but Bill did have the answer... |
