As usual wildcards for Continental teams for ProTour races will be decided upon prior to the start of the season, after the transfers. Although ideally these would be selected as the season progresses, this is ultimately not practical. However - if a wildcard is awarded to a team whose manager is inactive, that wildcard could be revoked and awarded to a team with a more active manager.
Also like last year, New teams, and Relegated teams will be ineligible for Grand Tours or Monuments - while teams whose Manager also has a ProTour team are also further down the priority system.
There will be some changes however, due to the added importance placed on Wildcards this season for continental teams. The new XP system makes it harder for riders in Level 3 or Level 4 to gain xp when part of a continental team, without the rider having to be loaned out for the season. So we have therefore introduced a price system for the wildcards.
50,000 - Classics Wildcards
75,000 - Monuments Wildcards
100,000 - Classics and Monuments Wildcards
100,000 - Stage Races Wildcards
150,000 - Grand Tour Wildcards
200,000 - Grand Tours and Stage Races Wildcards
300,000 - All PT Races Wildcards
Another change is that there will now be 2 continental teams in each Grand Tour and Monument. (Still limited to 1 CT team in all other PT races though)

I understand that - though don't really agree with it, as the two teams are completely separate and the WC should go to the best candidate. |

Due to the added relevance of wildcards now, rather than them being there to allow CT teams to experience the PT races, I will still look to pick on the basis of the strongest team, in terms of nationality, strength and the amount of other wildcards they have. But if its a 50/50 decision, and one of the managers also has a PT team, then theyre unlikely to win that 50/50 decision.

100,000 - Classics and Monuments Wildcards

Could be for 1 wildcard, but it could equally be for 2 or 3 - it depends how many teams are interested.

so i could pay 100,000 for the ability to register for one PT stage race, 200,000 for ability to register for all PT stage races (or just one?) and 300,000 for the abilty to register for all PT races (or just one?)

You pay 100.000 to be eligible for wild cards to all PT classics and monuments, 200.000 for Grand Tours and other Stage Races - and if you want to be eligible for all PT race wild cards, you pay 300.000 |

Well, if no one else applies for a Wildcard, you'll get in. So no limit really...

I would like to ask a question about wildcards here also - how does wild cards effect race days?
As a continental team manager I would obviously love to ask for a wild card for protour events. But I would be rather against using up rider race days on them if they would be better served (in terms of gaining continental points) elsewhere.
So i guess the question is do wild cards use up team and rider race days when in Protour races? |

No, they do not.

100,000 - Stage Races Wildcards
So no matter how many teams are interested in getting the spot, the price will be the same? |

Yup - but if too many teams buy a 'wildcard license' which means your team is unlucky and does not get awarded a wildcard at all (this is unlikely, but could happen in theory) - the money will be refunded

Is it worthy to buy Classics Wildcards (50.000) and Stage Races Wildcards (100.000) only, 150.000 in total for new joined managers, right?

Those are the only 2 you can buy as a new manager, its up to you whether to just pick one of them, or go for both - depends what sort of riders you have
