Is there any way to calculate the time limit for a stage, and also, is there a hint to how i can make sprinters survive a mountain stage or even consecutive mountain stages?

It's fairly difficult to miss the time limit - but dot 50 once your riders heart rate starts going crazy should keep you in the time limit most stages.

Don't let your sprinter lose all of the yellow bar, get dropped and then put him on dot. Put him on dot as soon as his heart rate goes into the red. That way he won't needlessly lose a lot of energy just to keep pace with the peleton/front group for an extra km or two. If I'm around another rider(s) at the top of a mountain, I like to change him back to keep position, because computer riders ride faster than 50 dot on the downhill. By staying with someone else, you can go faster, but not lose too much energy.
On the other hand, the 50 dot is cheating in a way, because the computer doesn't do that.
Finally, to answer your original question, the time limit in the high mountais is over 1 hr. As long as you can stay in the hour and/or make it to the finish in the biggest gruppetto, you won't eliminated, because (unlike the original CM) huge groups of 40 or more guys don't get eliminated. Just make sure you don't get dropped by a few meters at the end, because I've seen riders get eliminated by dropping back less than a minute (a couple of bike lengths) from the big gruppetto at the very end.
