Training will not take place until after the transfers period, but it will be an important factor to bare in mind, as the alternate way of spending money - other than in transfers.
It is more expensive compared to last year, which was perhaps too generous - but is now scaled more towards the level of increase you wish to make. Its significantly cheaper to increase a stat from 75 to 76 now, than to go from 82 to 83.
Training this year will be limited to riders who are born in the year 1981 or later, and have fully maxed out their XP levels.
Average or Stat | Cost | 85 | 2,000,000 | 84 | 1,800,000 | 83 | 1,600,000 | 82 | 1,400,000 | 81 | 1,200,000 | 80 | 1,000,000 | 79 | 900,000 | 78 | 800,000 | 77 | 700,000 | 76 | 600,000 | 75 | 500,000 | 74 | 450,000 | 73 | 400,000 | 72 | 350,000 | 71 | 300,000 | 70 or under | 250,000 |
Thats the cost to buy 1 individual stat - and how much you have to pay will either:
- Be the value that correlates to the rider's average
- If the stat being trained is higher than the rider's averague, the cost is the price attributed to the new value for the stat
E.g. Jose Rujano. 78 average, 82 mountain stat, 74 hill stat
It would cost 800,000 to improve his hill stat by 1. It would cost 1,600,000 to improve his mountain stat by 1.

Your avarage is 71 and you want to train the stat to any value up to 71. |

wait, no, tell me if i'm wrong now. my average is 70. the cost of 1 stat, up to 70 is 250,000. the cost after that is whats up there.
my average is 76. the cost of 1 stat, until that stat is above 76 is 600,000.
also, where do we find out rider averages? will they be included in the db?

This may give Contador a chance to stay at my team, as he is just the right age to improve.
It will cost 2,6mil, however to go from 81 to 83 :-/
But then again, a lot of young guys are able to become much better climbers... Hmm tough choise...

This makes it easier to plan for me though, since I can't really afford training
I like it btw. The older teams with more money (obviously, since they've been around longer it's just right to have a higher budget in my opinion) can train riders, while the new teams got to find out if they wanna use the extra money for transfers or training.

Seems more like it will cost you 3.0 million going form 81 to 83.

You are right... Seems like quite a bad business... Unless I can trade my way into 3 mil like I did last season

No team is going to have that kind of money floating around I think. Going to be a tighter season money wise for many teams.

It would help if you were a little more specific

Gilbert has 79 hill and 78 average - to buy 80 hill costs me 1 mil, to buy 77 resistance costs me 800,000. after applying both stat increases his average is 79. would that change what i have to pay?

79>80 Hill costs 1 mill
The average after this is still 78
So 76>77 Resistance costs 800,000
The average is now 79, so it would cost more if you wished to do further training
