Team Yamaha - Greenpeace 2011
jack888
Team Yamaha - Greenpeace will be on debut in season 2011. An official press release with more information will be produced throughout the week so stay tuned. We can confirm that we at team YG are looking for any washed up GC riders who want to cruise with us through the mountains.

Sponsors:

Main: Yamaha will be powering the team in 2011. With the growing asian market in cycling we are glad to be in partnership with such a big brand. Yamaha will be scribbled all over our jerseys, mainly because i made it and i can't draw, but back to the point. There are currently issues involving the minor sponsor, Greenpeace. As a motorbike factory containing some Yamaha helmets was targeted by the hippie organisation last week.

Minor: Greenpeace and team YG are proud to form a partnership that hopes to spread the word of peace in the rainforest's worldwide. Our goals for this season not only include world domination, but also world peace. There is also some hostility being shown towards Yamaha from this side. But you will hear more as the drama unfolds during the week.

Your team won't get in to the Tour as Wildcard places are only given to teams who have been playing for more than a season.

Plus doesn't Yamaha and Greenpeace have conflict in interests?

The back of the jersey actually looks alright in the shirt viewer.

Having "Yamaha" where it is just doesn't work though.

1. You can't read it as it's too big.
2. The race numbers go over it so you can't read it again.

Also, the two Yamaha logos on the front of the shirt just look plain weird in terms of positioning.

Sorry, i was bored last night. the tour remark was just a bad joke. And same with the conflict of interest, but i'm sure they will work things out Smile

And also thanks for the jersey advice, i will improve on it tonight.

edit: Jersey updated (sorry, i forgot racenumbers again), silly goals comment changed

They were two tough weeks but Yamaha - Greenpeace is officially underway, signing a groundbreaking 29 riders. With a predominantly mountain orientated roster, young talents like Samai Samai and Hipólito Elías Martino complete the well rounded team. Critics are question the teams lack of core skills such as Stamina and Flat, but don't worry. Our friends at Greenpeace are already sending them threatening emails so we won't be hearing to much more of them.

Update on the team:

With the season closing in we are happy to say team Yamaha is settling into the world of professional cycling nicely. We were going to make a Cervello style documentary, but that would probably raise some sort of outcry among the parental community when they see us training 15 year old Nico Gaur with multiple whips. Personally, i don't get why people think its ok to use pepper spray on the older riders but its not ok to whip kids?

On the cycling side of things. Cadel Evans is getting ready for a big season as the teams absolute leader, while other star riders Kevin Seeldraeyers and our resident Sith Ifrikan Darrel Impy are also looking to make a name for themselves this season on the cont tour. Our only national champion Dainius Kairelis will be on show for the majority of our one day races.

That is about it for now, and for all those Child Abuse complaints please contact us via our email: , or phone us at: 1800-yourcallisnotimportanttous.

Have a nice day.

Yamaha Stamp Authority on Home Turf

The tour down under was basically a training run for the team before we start hitting the mountains next month. But the minute we arrived home in Australia, seeing the likes of Cavendish and Roache wearing shoes to the beach was enough motivation to take the race by storm.

So we did just that, joining every break away and joining the bunch sprints. Two second place's in stage 4 and 5 was a good result, and Impey finishing 3rd overall was also a bonus. But Kairelis didn't do us any favors by crashing out in stage 6 while still in 4th for GC. He lost us 50+ points not to mention KOM's!

Sponsors Yamaha have demanded he get whats coming to him. So the second he is out of hospital he will sent to a crash training course in the outback. So if he can crash in 50*C heat and get back up, he can crash in 20*C and finish the damn race next time.

And any Lithuanians who have a problem with that can send us complaints to:

PO BOX 10399
Sydney Aus
The Honourable Lord Major Sergent King Dictator Director of Team Yamaha

TDU Result:

GC:

3rd Impey
36th Zieger

Stages:

2nd Impey (stage 5)
2nd Kairelis (stage 4)

Tour de San Luis Conspiricy

Yamaha Greenpeace were caught up in a race fixing scandel this week when they purposely lost every stage. The rumour is that local betting agencies paid off our star riders to not attack or win any stages. They claim to have proof of Iñigo Landaluze slowing down in the stage 6 sprint to lose the race. We can niether confirm or deny these accusations but as i write this from a million dollar boat i bought yesterday i will admit things aren't looking to great.

Cadel Evans had this to say about the issue's arising:

"DONT TOUCH MY DOG"

That is all....

Results:

3rd Iñigo Landaluze (Stage 6)

2012 Sponsorship

One word can describe Yamaha's season. FAIL!!!!!!

This has resulted in sponsors Yamaha and Greenpeace to opt out of 2012 sponsorship.

Therefore, we are here today to announce a major sponsor change for 2012. While most multi-national corporations politely asked us to "leave the premises immediately". Local beverage producers at the "Swan Brewery" gave us an offer we couldn't refuse. Choosing to help the team along in return for advertising their main international beer.

Ladies and Gentleman, we give you:

TEAM EMU EXPORT!

Emu Export will bring this team much more luck in its second season. And a handful of cash to help buy a real GC leader (sorry Cadel).

Manager Jack had this to say: "I'd like to thank Yamaha for their generous sponsorship during out inaugural season. But i am here today to announce big changes in 2012. This new sponsorship addition will give us a kick in the right direction and towards more glory. I am already scouting the ranks of the continental tour for a new GC leader, and we are ready to pay big money for one. The extra cash will come from a large number of cuts. We are planning to cut the squad down to size, possibly as low as 23 guys.

The dismal performance of 2011 will never be repeated. We had entered a load of pointless races and as a result were outclassed and quite simply embarrassed.

Finally, i wish Cadel Evans and Darrel Impey good luck at the World Champs. May they do their country's and Nico Gaur proud.
