As announced before, our main focus were to participate mostly on races in Central and Eastern Europe. Due to low amount races in these areas we had to change our plans to upcoming season though. We have decided to built squad with high potential to beat CT competition in flat races (complete roster will announce later) and our season goals had to be fit.
Let´s see on our goals step by step:
15 Stage Wins in a Season - hard but realizable goal. We will rely on especially our elite sprinter Erik Mohs, but we definitely have more riders who can achieve stage win.
TOP10, Team Standings - probably the toughest goal. Our team is new and competition is very strong in CT, time will see, if we can think about success.
TOP10, Post Danmark Rundt - we will hopefully join the biggest race in Denmark in August. Profile is more or less flat, which will suit to our team well. The penultimate stage is 15km long ITT, which will probably decide about race winner. Depending on race competition we´ll see if TOP10 overall is achieavable or not.
Win, Tour du Faso - although in Africa, THIS is our main race in whole season! 10 completely flat stages seems to be perfect for our team. As we have decent cobble riders as well (there is a quite long cobble section in final part of stage 7), it is possible to achieve this goal. But we can be badly surprised of course.
TOP10, Circuit Franco-Belge - 4 days stage race in Belgium can bring us both much pleasure and disappointment. Profile is similar with Danish tour (without TT), hopefully our strongest possible squad will be able to achieve this goal.

Team Pokerstars.com will focus on mainly flat one day-classic (both with or without cobbles) and stage races. Sponsors wants to see our jersey on podium at least 15 times in season. Erik Mohs, one of the fastest man in world of cycling is our main hope. We partially built our team around him to help to achieve as much stage wins as possible. Dan Holloway, Martijn Maaskant or Samuel Dumoulin and few other can fill role of lead-out man properly. We have few more fast men in team though. Marco Guillén or Jurgen Van Loocke could achieve some decent results as well. But they are both struggling with stamina and lower flat skill...time will see if they proove their worth for the team.
Erik Mohs
As announced before season, there will be new competition during season - Criterium. There are several restrictions which don´t allow to join biggest worldwide stars and this could be chance for us! Roger Kluge with support of Dan Holloway is man, who can really fight for glory in this kind of competition.
Roger Kluge
Kluge, well experienced Kevin Van Impe and Anthony Geslin are our main trumphs in cobble races. Of course we can´t compete with best cobble riders, but we hope in some decent results in modest races. Our strenghth is in balanced team. Nick Ingels or Aleksei Saramotins could make a great job in protecting of our leaders here.
Anthony Geslin
We announced in season preview that we want to see our jersey as often as possible. And we have plenty of riders with great fighting spirit! Niki Terpstra, David Boucher, Jimmy Engoulvent, Martijn Maaskant, Samuel Dumoulin, Jelle Wallays, Fredrik Ericsson or Stef Clement (our best timetrialist and hilly rider) are names who will be seen in front far away of peloton very often. We hope our team will entertain all cycling fans and of course, it would be great to add few wins from succesfull breakaways.
Niki Terpstra
Team Pokerstars.com is a nice mix of experience and youth. Our best talents are definitely Jacopo Guarnieri (on loan in Team Falcon-Husqvarna this season) and young German rocket John Degenkolb, who could achieve same level as Erik Mohs within several years. We´d like to mention our another youngsters George Atkins, Julien Vermote and Marco Brus as well. Noone of them won´t be GT winner, but could fill important role in our team within few seasons.
John Degenkolb
What else to say? Maybe good luck to all managers and HAVE FUN!!

After bad start in SAR we removed to Gabon, where we joined our first stage race La Tropicale Amissa Bongo. Stages were mostly flat so we hoped for some decent results. First good sign was Guillen´s 4th place in stage 2. But we had to wait for real succesfull result until last stage, when Marco Brus finished 2nd in bunch sprint. 5th Engoulvent and 6th Guillen confirmed our great performance that day. 15th overall for Brus is very nice result! I want to mention about divided 2nd place for Jelle Wallays in KOM competition too, not bad result at all.

We removed to Australia with boosted self confidence and expected great result in Down Under Classic criterium. Erik Mohs (winner last year) had to fill our dreams and bring first win for our team. Competition was pretty hard, with most CT elite sprinters here, though. All went great into last lap, when we managed to built great sprint train with Mohs on the tail.
Pokerstars sprint train in action
Sudenly both lead-out men lost energy at the same time and Mohs was closed between them and much faster guys. 7th place is not so bad result, but we expected more...much more.

Three things could satisfy our sponsors in Australian Tour Down Under. Our riders showed our jersey in front in most of stages in early breakaways. I´m glad to say that bet on fighters is paying off. Another remarkable moment was 4th place of Marco Guillen in last stage. Good result in such a great competition. But without any doubt, the best result is KOM jersey for Nick Ingels who gained equal points with Capecchi...great present for his effort!
On the other hand we weren´t any threat for overall classification. Samuel Dumoulin, set as leader, crashed in opening stage and finished the race with injury. Dan Holloway, our secret joker for sprints, was totally invisible. Our best placed rider finished as 76th....
Nick Ingels takes KOM points

We´ve got permission to join 4 of 9 races from Criterium Series. 1st race ever in this kind of competition was held in China. We expected a lot, but reality far exceeded all expectations. Our men, due to names like Holloway or Kluge set as main favourites, dominated in final sprint, taking 1-2-4. Brilliant performance!!

Definitely most successful race so far for us and probably one of our season´s peak! Unpredictible criterium stages brought tone of fortune to us, Marco Guillen took two stage win (1 & 5) while John Degenkolb added another one followed by Jurgen Van Loocke in stage 4.
Marco Guillen celebrates stage win
But it wasn´t only sprints, team leader Stef Clement kept contact with best puncheurs in only hilly stage and due his great performance in ITT (2nd, only second behind winner) he moved up to 2nd overall and hold to end of race!
Stef Clement is riding for 2nd overall!

I almost forgot to report about our only February race - better late than never...
We had quite high expectations here as riders faced up to 32km long TTT in stage 2 and we sent our best time trial squad here hoping Stef Clement could gain good advantage amongst biggest contenders. Unfortunately Stef and much more strong riders were caught in split in opening stage and ruined their chances in overall classification. On the other hand Jurgen Van Loocke surprisingly won bunch sprint and dressed yellow jersey!
Van Loocke celebrates unexpected win
We really showed strenght in TTT, only Russian team Tinkoff could beat us and stealed leader jersey for their team. Martijn Maaskant and Roger Kluge collected another podium places (both 3rd) in following stages while Dan Holloway finished as our best placed rider on decent 11th place.

As March is coming to the end, it´s right time for quick recap. Team Pokerstars.com was quite busy in first half of month, porticipated on several races with mixed result. Let´s see what happened step by step.
201. S.Dumoulin
202. D.Boucher
203. J.Engoulvent
204. M.Guillén
205. D.Holloway
206. M.Maaskant
207. E.Mohs
208. K.Van Impe
Six flat stages giving great chance to our biggest star Erik Mohs to fighting for stage win - that was our main reason why we decided to participate here. Unfortunately many managers had the same idea and we could see incredibly strong field of elite CT sprinters here in Malaysia. Our team worked hard for Erik during whole race though, doing most of work during chasing of breakaways. Only one podium place (3rd in stage 4) is very poor result...
Obvious picture of most flat stages - our riders are chasing hard all breakaways.
UBS´s Bernhard Kohl climbed on Genting highlands first, took leader jersey and hold it until finish. Our best placed rider, Samuel Dumoulin, finished 113th...even one rider from Control Team was able to beat him in GC...
Final GC:
1 Bernhard Kohl UBS - Annie Chun's 24h34'22
2 José Serpa Pirelli-Internazionale + 20
3 Magno Nazaret Sport Lisboa e Benfica + 41
113 Samuel Dumoulin Team Pokerstars.com + 22'58
116 Dan Holloway Team Pokerstars.com + 23'08
118 Martijn Maaskant Team Pokerstars.com + 23'16
119 Erik Mohs Team Pokerstars.com + 23'24
123 David Boucher Team Pokerstars.com + 23'48
124 Jimmy Engoulvent Team Pokerstars.com + 24'00
125 Kevin Van Impe Team Pokerstars.com + 24'04
130 Marco Guillén Team Pokerstars.com + 26'23
...to be continued...

Bacardi has already expressed their interest in Guarnieri in a press release. Latest rumors also report that Bacardi is very interested in Holloway as well. Whether Guarnieri and Holloway are available is unknown though.

Your team pay small blinds with Rujano and Dumoulin.. (just don't wanted to write in the Weight/Height thread)
If it's offensive maybe you just can ignore that and see this as a note to update your thread
