2009 winner: Przemyslaw Niemiec (Poland)
2009 winner: Konstantin Siutsou (Belarus)
It will be quite hard for Niemiec and Siutsou do retain their titles as the route seems to be quite flat this year. And with no strong teams present here it's most likely to be see a winning breakaway
After 3 laps a group of 22 riders was still in front, all the favorites being present there. There quite a lot of breakaway attempts but the Nespresso duo, made by Kiryenka and Mazur, didn't let anyone get an advantage of more than 1 minute
With 150 kilometers left from the race, finally a smaller group got away, mainly because the Nespresso duo was there, plus Sobal and Samoilev. And with no one chasing them behind, except some tiny accelerations from Siutsou, Szmyd or Niemiec, they easily got an advantage of 13 minutes in less than 80 km
50 kilometers before the finish, Mazur lost the contact with 3 Belarusian riders, but with Niemiec and Szmyd more than 10 minutes behind him it looks quite hard to miss the Polish win today
Less than 10 kilometers later, Sobal also lost the contact with Kiryenka and Samoilev, leaving it between those 2 for today's win
It looked like it was going to a sprint between them and for the Belarusian jersey but 3 kilometers before the finish, on the last ascent of the day, Samoilev cracked and just gave the victory to Kiryenka
Vasili Kiryenka is the new Belarusian Champion!
Piotr Mazur is the new Polish Champion, but he was only 4th on the road today. Great day for Nespresso even though Mazur will probably return to Accumalux next year
2009 winner: Vasili Kiryenka (Belarus)
2009 winner: Piotr Mazur (Poland)
Kiryenka took an early lead even though his time wasn't an amazing one: 1 hour 5 minutes and 58 seconds
Niemiec couldn't beat his time but he took a close second place, just 9 seconds behind the Nespresso rider, which put him in pole - position for the Polish title
Mazur got the Polish title last year, but it will Niemiec who will ride in white and red next season as Mazur finished 4 seconds behind him
Samoilev looked like being able to take a revenge on Kiryenka after losing the RR. He had the same time at the intermediate check points, but he was only 4th at the finish, 17 seconds behind Kiryenka who got the double this year in the Belarusian Championships
