First of all, a gap in the peloton was registered in the peloton yesterday, resulting in a big group of riders getting a 2'25 minute time loss. The only GC-favourite involved in this was Denis Menchov who's now 2'55 behind Freire.
Today's stage is quite flat, but it seems to finish uphill. Question is if Freire profit from this?

It will be a close race today. There's 14 km left, and the 10-man-break still got 1'17 to the peloton.

While the sprint trains are being formed in the peloton, the escapees are fighting for survival.

And it's definitely an uphill sprint. Furlan is in the front. It's perfect terrain for Freire, but is he too far back?
