The finale for the ProTour season, and plenty to ride for. Individually, Cunego is looking good at the top, while a good performance can lift Samuel Sanchez to 3rd - the Spaniard will only need to finish to go 4th though, with Ricco not riding. Last year's winner Frank Schleck could also break into the Top 5 with a repeat performance.
The big battle for the Team Rankings is for 5th place. Just 7 points separates Philips, Lipton and Accumalux. For those first 2, a Top 5 is needed to avoid going 0/5 on Hard Goals, and having a lower budget next year, while Accumalux are targeting their 4th Medium goal (Top 5 in Japan) which would probably spoil the hopes of Philips and Lipton, should they do it.
Further down, Warner Brothers lead Unicef by only 6 pts, while Eurosport need a miracle to overcome their 166 point deficit to American Suzuki and avoid relegation.

Bring on the celebration race!
I just have a feeling Hagen will take it. Dunno... this course would suit him I think. |

Sums it up really, Schleck should win on paper, but he underperforms so much, nobody thinks he can really do anything

American Suzuki got fucked (if I'm correct in thinking Lovkvist's win pushes them into relegation). |

Quite a dramatic end to the season
Congrats to La Gazzetta on winning the two rankings and to Eurosport for managing to avoid relegation on the last race of the season

Wow, came here with no expectations my my riders, but Carrara 2nd and Lloret 5th is unbelievable. If he had won, it would really be a sensation, but maybe next year?
Definitely the best result for Olympus AirAsia this season! Good way to end the season
