Anyone out here who likes playing online or live poker?
I've been doing it for about one year now and I must say it can bring you loads of fun and tears 
I started from a 0$ bankroll and found a very nice website which contains a lot of information and help to improve your poker game:

This website also offers free starting money, so it's pretty easy to start playing for free.
I'm just curious, anyone here who's kind of making a living out of it?

I've dabbled a fair amount. I spent my two 6th form years playing during my free periods against other people in my school. I'd win enough each day to pay for lunch and more.
I then started to play for free online at PokerStars.net, frequenting the free tournaments that offered a chance to win 20 cents here and there, which would eventually pay my way into a better priced tournament.
I eventually put money on my account (only $5) and entered three tournaments. I very happily won the biggest (as in most players in it) one I did, which wracked in $55 for me. I've since not played very much, having moved through more effective ways of "earning" money easily.
I might start taking it back up again now though. In fact the student life is perfect for it, as most free to enter, yet chance to win some cash, tournaments start later at night.

I played every other lunch time for my lasst two years at school, never really played online, I don't really enjoy it without the social interaction.

The problem with free tournaments is that even if you manage to do it well, you can expect to win a maximum of 20-30 us dollars. And that by playing a 4-5 hours tournament. So with a real job, you win a lot more. And about the non free tournaments, well, they aren't free.

Time to reactivate this topic, as poker is quite an exciting sport
I'm playing since two months at Full Tilt Poker, without any huge success, but slowly building my bankroll up
By the way, there's a website granting you 50$ for free, for any poker soft u want. I've choosen FTP and went up to 150$ in two months. For free - so it's a great chance for everyone who knows, but also an opportunity to give poker a try without having to take any risks yourself.
They also offer a lot of educational materials, perfect to improve your poker knowledge.

i play on casineto started playing free tournaments that u get cash and worked my bankroll up to 30 bucks , but im playing rarely now no time to stay awake untill 5 am and play 6-7 hours in a row
