Based on TT performances this season, Zabriskie, Rogers and Coppel are the favourites. But beyond that, who knows?
As is so often the case, Michael Ford is an early starter - infact he is the first starter.
Next is Dominique Cornu, who dominated continental TTs this season. You would expect him to beat Ford, on paper, but he doesnt - he is 12 seconds back
Vandborg and Ma both finish 1'20 behind Ford
Markus Fothen was level with Ford at the first check, just 2 seconds behind at the 2nd check - but slips to 10 seconds behidn at the finish - putting him 2nd
Aleksandr Pluchkin was 6 seconds behind Ford early on - but 4 seconds ahead at the 2nd check. Its tighter at the finish, but the Moldovan does take the lead, by 2 seconds
Kai Reus puts in a strong ride to go 3rd, 7 seconds down on Pluchkin
Next in is Yuri Trofimov - who is riding one of his best ever time trials. He led Pluchkin by 1 second at the 2nd split, but slips to a still impressive 3rd at the finish, equalling Ford's time, 2 seconds behind Pluchkin
Brajkvoic goes 7th, 53 seconds down
Before Intxausti takes 7th from him - this time only 27 seconds behind Pluchkin
After Sweden's Johansson, the next in is David Zabriskie. And wow - he smashes the time of Pluchkin, beating him by 2'29
Both Grivko and Stannard were passed, but Stannard still manages to take 8th, at 2'50
Michael Rogers now, a potential threat to Zabriskie. Or not. although he takes 2nd, he is 43 seconds down
Christian Meier was riding on the control team, a constant pace on 60 effort all round. But benefited by a daily form of +5, he puts in a decent time, finishing 3'19 behind Zabriskie
Meier's trade team teammate Uran only just beats him, going 2 seconds faster than the Candain
Jerome Coppel, another Wikipedia rider, is perhaps the only remaining threat to Zabriskie. But he goes 3rd, 1'07 behind Zabriskie
A strong ride for Lang puts him 7th, 2'36 down
Thomas Dekker dissapoints however, outside the top 10 he finishes, at 3'02
Ignatiev goes 12th, at 2'51
Ruben Plaza makes it into the Top 10, 9th at 2'39
16th for Gustav Larsson at 3'10
While the last to finish is Jason Donald. Finishing 3'32 behind his winning fellow American, he goes 20th
So Dave Zabriskie retains his World Title - and he does is comfortably
