Injury in mid of the grand tour

I want to ask you one question i just played pcm 08 and in the stage (i don't remember what number was it, but it was on giro d'italia) from milano to milano, the one that riders didn't want to ride in real life two riders got injured, one of them was mine Van Goolen and the other was Franco Pellizotti an overall standings leader (tough luck for him, but good for all others), but when i got to the next stage Di Luca had maglia rosa, pellizotti wasn't in the race, but van goolen was, i want to know how to get him out of the race, or is it even possible, because i think it would be really unfair to him to ride about 10 stages injured, so the poor guy wouldn't have suffer more then he already did. Oh yeah, i play on PCMdaily2009DBV2.1Updater (i don't know if that's important, but i wanted to write that, because maybe it is)!

put the rider on the dot and with level 0, he will stop, and then abandon shortly after

Hey, sorry to bring up an old topic. I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything.

When you do get a rider crash and get an injury during a GT, about how many stages is he usually hurt? Is there anything you can do to help it out?
