Today is the decisive stage, the mountainous one!

Bru Pascal is the first over the first climb. Stewart and Napolitano are with him. There are lots of attacks in this climb, so the breakaway group might not be formed yet.

Howes is the first in the first intermediate sprint.

Bru Pascal is second and Wellens third. Stewart, Napolitano and Txurruka are also in this group. Torres and Dionne are very close.

One minute later, more escaping riders. Neves, Peeters, Ulanowski, Steurs and Signorini are their names.

Txurruka attacks for grabbing some points in the second climb. Torres and Howes are second and third, respectively. Bru Pascal and Wellens could keep up during the climb, but Dionne, Napolitano and Stewart couldn't and got caught by Signorini.

Torres win the last intermediate sprint in front of Txurruka and Bru Pascal.

The peloton, led by Santander and Olympus AirAsia, catches Steurs, Neves, Ulanowski and Peeters. Still 4 minutes to recover in 34km.

The next four are caught 10km after and the gap to the front is one minute lower.

Onto the mountain, with 10km to go, Torres is riding away from the rest. The peloton is not far, the gap is less than 1 minute and a half.

Basso attacks in a flat part and no one counters him.

Noval comes from behind and manages to join them.

With 500 meters to the end, Noval was dropped and Valverde is leading the sprint!

Valverde wins! Basso is second and time gaps may be awarded.

Lloret is the third in this stage, but he will remain as second in the GC. Taaramae is fourth and his podium place seems to be lost. Medina, Colom Mas and Noval, then Samoilev and then the peloton come but, as previous stated, time gaps may be awarded.
