To sum up the route of this danish race. Flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, hill. Alternatively, see this picture

This part of Denmark seems rather barren, very grey. And here is the break, Fuglsang, Guerao, Serrano, Ljungblad, Euser, Diggle and Murray

Long story short, they built a lead on the flat but it was dropping fast by the time we reached hills. Wiggle suffered a blow in the peleton though, Ivan Rovny crashed and will be today's last finisher.

The break attacks onto the hills, almsot relieved that the long stretch of flat is over

But also over is their time in the lead, caught with 22km to go

And heres an attack, Bernucci with 19km to go

Txurruka, Rooijackers, Broco and 1 other counter. That other rider is Ben Hermans, who charges into the lead

And away he goes, quickly building a 50 second gap on Bernucci and Txurruka - the other attackers have been caught

No more attacks from the pack as yet, although they are certainly being stretched

Crossing 5km to go, they can clearly see Bernucci and Txurruka, but Hermans is further away and now looking good

His lead is only increasing, and he seems unbeatable today

Bernucci gives it one last go though, as he leaves Txurruka for dead as the sprint begins

Ventoso will lead the sprint of the peleton - one of the sprinters with a decent hill stat - while Swift is also close

Txurruka is caught, but Ventoso could not hold on, and is 5th as Bazajev takes 4th and Swift 3rd.
