The last stage for the sprinters before we return to the mountains - and with the almost-making it breakaway on Stage 13, we might be up for a surprise on this stage.

Many riders were interested in giving it a go on this stage. In the end, 7 got away: Gautier, Wyss, Ten Dam, Santambrogio, Sijmens, Khatuntsev and Pineau. Their gap increased up until 90 km from goal where they had 10 minutes to P.

It became evident, though, that the peloton had it under control on this stage. With 10 km to go, they were all caught - except Pineau who had attacked not only once, but twice, and held a reasonable gap of 40 seconds.

He wasn't able to keep up the pace and was caught in time for the sprint. So, instead, the peloton set up for yet another sprint. Cancellara did try to spice it up with a small breakaway. In the mix for the win? Up front, it's Bakelants, Steegmans, Hushovd, Boonen and Cavendish.

They are still all in for the win (except Cancellara). Cavendish might be a bit too far behind, though.

And it's yet another win for Boonen - and Hushovd once again misses out. Steegmans takes third.
