come on then, most of the transfers have now been confirmed and with the new season only a few weeks away it's time for some predictions on next season.
what does everyone think?
Who's gonna win what races?
Which teams will succeed and which will fail?
How will the likes of Sky, Radioshack and BMC do with their new super teams?
How many wins will Cav get after loosing his train?
Which young talents will step up and make a name for themselves?
Who will be the next major doping scandal?
Will the Tour Down Under finally have a stage that doesn't end in a sprint?
Will Armstrong win a stage/race?
Will Wiggins continue to develop as a climber and improve on last season?
When will Boonen be caught sniffing cocaine again? |

Since what matters most is either still there or has been adequately replaced, about as many as 2009s, barring injury.

Kritskiy, if he can recover from his massive injury. The Velits brothers.

You forgot the part where a trillion people suddenly get avatars and nicknames referencing the rider. Like Kreuziger. And A.Schleck before that. And F.Schleck before that. And Cunego before that.....and so on

No, if he is caught again, it will be after Paris-Roubaix. That's when he takes his yearly break (to go party of course). First he will try to win PR for the 4th time, because he has stated multiple times that he wants to match the record. |

Cavendish will win the sprints, Contador will win the TdF and anything other than these days/races will be well worth watching. |

As some people said before, Cav for sprints and AC for le Tour. I bet that pro cyclists will win the rest.
ringo182 wrote:Which teams will succeed and which will fail?
Succeed, ummm, maybe Columbia For the ones who will fail see next question.
ringo182 wrote:How will the likes of Sky, Radioshack and BMC do with their new super teams?
They are no such super teams, so they will fail, with the exception of BMC in the classics, and the wins that Gerrans or EBH can collect for Sky.
ringo182 wrote:How many wins will Cav get after loosing his train?
A milliard. He hasn't lost that much of his train.
ringo182 wrote:Which young talents will step up and make a name for themselves?
Kritskiy, Velits (x2), Sicard, and more evolution of Uran. And surely many others.
ringo182 wrote:Who will be the next major doping scandal?
Contadope? Impossible to know I guess.
Oh no, I know! Valverde riding the next season.
ringo182 wrote:Will the Tour Down Under finally have a stage that doesn't end in a sprint?
Nope, unless there is a huge fall like in the Liège stage in la Vuelta, and still...
ringo182 wrote:Will Armstrong win a stage/race?
It depends. Tour of the Gila? Maybe.
ringo182 wrote:Will Wiggins continue to develop as a climber and improve on last season?
Why not?
ringo182 wrote:When will Boonen be caught sniffing cocaine again?
Yep, for sure. The question is by who. Edit: I failed to answer I say before le Tour, but after the classics.

when i say superteams i simply mean teams with massive budgets who can go out and get any rider that they really want (contracts depending). i believe that over the next couple of seasons they will develop into very strong teams.
also, if you were to put the 3 squads together and pick 1 "super-team", you'd have a very very strong team that could possibly clean up at the classics and grand tours.
that is why i have labelled them super-teams. |

Q; Who's gonna win what races?
- UCI Pro Tour maybe will be won by Gilbert. Then, Tour at Contador, Vuelta at Samu Sanchez Gil and for the Giro I've a fool premonition: Cunego could be on pink after Terminillo Stage ( 6th ), and, also if he go to Giro only for stages, he'd still Maglia Rosa to his Verona. Cannonball, by my opinion, is going to dominate sprint, including Milano-San Remo, but this year Petacchi will count on Lampre's train support. Eyes on Ballan with a team editing also around him. Cancellara alien on TT.
Q; Which teams will succeed and which will fail?
- I see OK most of classic team, especially Liquigas and Caisse, but I have some doubt on Astana. Team Radioshack don't convince me.
Q; How will the likes of Sky, Radioshack and BMC do with their new super teams?
- As I've said yet, I don't see Radioshack in the olympus of teams. By the way, Sky get a lot of potential riders. Look at shining star Boasson!
Q; How many wins will Cav get after loosing his train?
- Zero. If he get no train, he won't start at race u_ù.
Q; Which young talents will step up and make a name for themselves?
- Francesco Masciarelli. Edvald Boasson Hagen don't need it.
Q; Who will be the next major doping scandal?
- I hope nothing. But ... 98.3 Vo2max it's a very strange parameter ...
Q; Will the Tour Down Under finally have a stage that doesn't end in a sprint?
- December 21th 2012. Maya said it!
Q; Will Armstrong win a stage/race?
- Maybe a TT whitout Cancellara or a little American stage.
Q; Will Wiggins continue to develop as a climber and improve on last season?
- Yeah.
Q; When will Boonen be caught sniffing cocaine again?
- Of course.

Who are you talking about?
And yes, 98.3 is like having a sign on your head saying "doping"

Contador will once again show he's the most talented cyclist in the world, and all the arrogant whiners will complain (again) how doped he is. |

Lets just hope that the most arrogant whiner doesn't whine about his teammates winning again and perhaps learn how to make friends.
