I want to start a new story as soon as the PPDB giant v3 db is released so everyone will enjoy the db.
But I don't know which team to choose from these: lampre, rabobank, caisse d'epargne. Please vote your opinion .

Caisse D'Epargne has signed a new manager, he's an anonymous, young guy that has alot of ambition in him, he said that he won't dissapointed the sponsors and try to do most of their goals.
Goals:
- Win the Tour de France
- Finish in top 3 the Vuelta A Espana
- Win the Liege - Bastogne - Liege
- Win the Tour Meditarraneen
- Win the Vuelta Ciclista a la Rioja
Alex, Caisse new manager has commented that the goals are do-able, espcialy the last two that aren't included in the Pro Tour.
Team presentation:
- Alejandro Valverde
Our main rider, he's aim is to win the Tour and the Liege - Bastogne - Liege and other stage races, if he finished in the leading group in a mountain stage he'll almost be the winner because of his sprinting skills, the rider was a sprinter in his starting career.
- Oscar Pereiro Sio
Our co-leader, he'll help Valverde in the Tour and then he'll try to finish top 3 in the Vuelta a Espana, he is better then Alejandro at TT but weaker on mountains so lets see what he'll be able to do.
- Vladimir Karpets
He's a good rider that has evolved a lot in the last years, he'll help Valverde in the Tour and probabily will be the leader of some more smaller stage races, he'll probabily become our leader in a few years.
- Jose Ivan Gutierrez
Our TT specialist, he'll bring us some wins in the TT's and he'll try to re-become the world ITT champion.
- Alexei Markov
Our leading sprinter, he ain't no Robbie McEwen but he'll have to do, he'll try to bring us some wins in the Tour de France.
In January we won't participate in any race so our first race will be in february, probabily the Tour Meditarraneen.
More story things will come soon, stay tuned...

Cycling news + first stage from Tour Mediterraneen
Dopping is a major problem as we can see a lot of riders have been suspended for missing UCI test doping but as far as now the only important rider is Fabian Wegman who will be suspendat until the middle of May this year.
Lonny Banks, the eurosport reporter is with Caisse manager, Alex.
LB: Alex, you just got into cycling bussines and you see a lot of doping cases, is it frustrating?
Alex: Well, you know, I started watching cycling 10 years ago so I've heard enough about doping and I consider those caught should be suspended for life, if anyone will be caught doped in my team be sure I'll fire them imediatly.
LB: Do you think doping will ever stop?
Alex: I'm pretty sure of it, riders will see that they can't get away with it and soon they'll stop, in a few years I hope we'll have a clean sport.
LB: And about the Tour Mediterraneen what do you think are your team's chances to win?
Alex: Well it's our first objective, we'll align a pretty good team, but superstars such as Valverde, Pereiro and Gutierrez won't appear.
LB: Ok, thanks, I'm looking forward to seeing the stage, good luck and goodbye
Alex: Bye!

The Caisse guys aren't being gived any chance to win and I hope they'll surprise, Cofidis is being seen as the main favourite but lets see.
Stage 1
Caisse were the first team that started but they didn't maintain leadership that much because cofidis was the 3rd team at the start and already installed in first place with a 45 second lead infront of Caisse.
As time passed, as teams crossed the finish line they started to outrun Caisse that with only 8 teams finishing is already off the podium, it will be very hard to win the Tour especialy that Cunego is here, lets hope he's not that fit.

So it's Caisse good luck..not much with sprint. But you should be in picture of any tour.
Few question wich DB you use and wich level?

In my Caisse career I was second in Fleche Wallonne, and the LBL with Valverde. I lost both the Tirreno and the Vuelta Pais Vasco with J. Rodriguez by a mere 4 seconds, with the same options as yours. And All four went to Di Luca. More Luck to You! |
