Change max level for stats
gunde
Hello!

Is anybody still reading this forum?

Which Table/column do I need to change in order to change the evolution-limit for each stat and rider. I'm using Hannes Converter 2.0 with a savegame-db.

rjc_43
Open Hannes Converter 2.0
Click the top left button.
Locate your save game.
Select save game, open.
Select the DYN table: DYN_cyclist
Click OK
Double click the DYN_cyclist table.
Locate your riders (I usually sort the riders by team for ease of finding all my team - click the fkIDteam column).
Click in one of the boxes of the rider you want to edit (just to highlight the correct row).
Scroll across to the column titled value_i_potential to edit the riders potential. 1 (bad) - 8 (excellent) of course.
Or, if you want to add in limits to specific attributes, scroll further across until you get to the capital_f_plain column. From here on there are all the attributes you can edit. The limit is set to 85 for all riders as default. You can change that down if you wish. (thats the limit_i_plain column.)
Keep in mind however, that lower potential riders already have limits on them, which can be seen after a few seasons when their stats bars (in game, on the training screen for each rider), gets to 100% and the stat doesn't go up, and the bar goes red.

Once you've changed all you want, click the Save button at the bottom of the window. Then close down the DYN_cyclist window.
Select the second left button (the save one - fairly obvious, it looks like a floppy disk).
Select the save file to overwrite (ie the original)
Click save, click yes to replace.
Select the DYN_cyclist to highlight, and then click OK.
Click ok on the next pop up. And you're done.

ENSURE YOU BACKUP YOUR SAVE GAME BEFORE DOING ANY EDITING.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the excellent guide and fast response!!

It is the red bar with 100% that is my problem. Some of my young riders (under 25) have reached their peak at stats around 70 with an overall potential at 7 and experience level 3. Is there a way to increase the limit and thus making them develop further?

Their original potential was lower before I changed it to 7 so I guess their max stats were allready set. But as you say, in the DYN_cyclist all limit_i_ values are 85 so I guess the limits must be in some other table.

If they are currently at experience level 3, you just need to get them to level 4, and they should start developing again

Ah yeah, I forgot to mention, as SN says, that low potential riders often reach their "level limit" quite fast before you can actually level them up. Changing their potential if they've reached this limit obviously lets them progress further, before they hit the next limit. Leveling them up will unlock further ability, but sometimes it's their actual limit regardless of levels.

Also, just as a side note kinda thing, when you change a riders potential once they've hit the "limit", it takes a few days until the game realises and corrects the training, in which case any stats that are at 100% (or more) will level up, and training will continue as normal.

So, if I get this right:

A rider has limits on each level. For instance, if we take a riders hill-stat.

on level 1 he can get max 65 (just an example)
on level 2 he can get max 70
on level 3 he can get max 75
on level 4 he can get max 80

Then 80 is his max, regardless. So if he gets to 75 on level 3 he gets a red bar at > 100% and won't develop until he levels up. These limits are determined for each rider by the game, depending on their overall potential, and cannot be altered in database?! Unless I change the potential, in which case their limits will rise, after a few days in game.

So if this example above is for a rider with potential 8, I could never get him above 80, unless I actually change the stat myself?

Well, with potential 7 and 8 riders, I've never actually reached a limit with them within 3 seasons, but I presume they do have limits. But basically, the basis behind your reasoning is correct.

I believe it's more to do with total stats limits more than specific stats. Ie, all the stat points added up, once they reach a set level, no stat can increase until the next experience level has been reached.
