I was just thinking that, but to my knowledge there's absolutely no one available who can "fill" that up.

Omega Pharma-Lotto, with the support of all the sponsors, will look for strengthening the team for the 2010 season - and certainly for 2011 – in line with the sportive and ethical ambitions of the team!
Contador?
Edit: Anyway, "good" news for Van den Broeck. Or not...

Silence has lots of room now in their budget.
Evans leaving
Dopers D. and K. are gone too, K even before he actually received money, hahaha.
I wonder who they will buy. Probably support for Gilbert in classics and support for J Van den Broeck in the Tour |

Again: who's available? Barely anyone of very good level.
Either way Dani Moreno has been spotted rubbing his hands in glee

I hope Contador goes to Silence. Then he wouldn't have a strong team, and could't win any big races, like Tour
But bit surprising that Cadel leaves..

Sky would make most sense with the Ozzie connection. Not sure where that would leave Wiggins. So, my conclusion is Katusha is most likely. |

btw, why you think it's Sky or Katyusha? It can be any team, like Columbia.

From most likely to least likely, the possibilities are:
Katusha, Sky, Lampre, Radioshack, Garmin.
I can categorically guarantee that Columbia won't sign anyone who might interfere with Martin's development as the team's GC leader.

Ok, Columbia was just an example. I don't believe it either. And Radioshack wants Cadel, but i don't thing Cadel wants Radioshack |

I agree that Katusha is the best option. They need someone for the GT, and they have a very big budget, if I'm not mistaken. I can't see him going to Sky, at least if Sky keeps their interest in Wiggins. Lampre's difficult, they have enough with the massive salary of Cunego, and The Shack, hmm, why would he go there, aiming as he is to the Tour? And Garmin'd be my second option, they have been trying to sign Contador, and Evans would be his replacement, as it seems that AC'll stay in Astana. That might move Wiggo to Sky.
PS: And Quick Step? Would be fun seeing a belgian team stealing their best GC man to another belgian team. |

And in the least surprising news of the year.. i've had a sneaking suspicion for a while he'd do that, especially now he's won the worlds, that makes his wage slightly bigger.
Katusha or Sky definatly, won't be the Shack, won't be Columbia, probably not Garmin.
