Might as well have a thread for the Track season.
Its Day 1 of the Manchester World Cup today, and Geriant Thomas has only gone and ridden an Individual Pursuit faster than Bradley Wiggins ever went, in qualifying for the event. He'll face Dominique Cornu in the final later today.

Chris Hoy is back in action, he's been breaking Manchester track records (made during the 08' worlds), so lets wait and see.

I don't know where you live, but BBC have coverage on the red button in the UK.
There may be streams, but it's unknown yet.

Last night was a good night from a British Perspective. Sir Chris is back and Newton rode a great points race.
Pendleton, as she said herself, the powers there, the tactics.. not so much.
Also good ride from the greek in the Keirin (i've forgotten his name), but to come 2nd to Hoy is good, to beat the World Champion, thats also VERY good.

Christos Volikakis. I think that getting behind Hoy when Hoy takes to the front in the Keirin is quite a good tactic to get 2nd, and he did that well.

On a side note, the Kilo is the most boring event going. I stopped watching when that came on, and went back to watching for the Sprint Finals.

Kilo is not the most interesting, no - particularly since the decrease in quality of entrants.
Ive put up 4 Track Bets, Madison for Today, Team Sprint, Team Pursuit and International Keirin for Tomorrow.
And theyll all be events ill be seeing from some very good seats in Manchester Velodrome
