The first on course was Nikolai Trusov, but he wont be featuring high up on the results today.

Sascha Damrow beat him by 33 seconds, but then Zirbel took the lead by 2 seconds

Last year's winner Ben Day was substantially better though - 27 seconds.

But here is Cornu - and he is quicker still, leading by 32 seconds

Ignatiev was tipped to be a major threat to Cornu, but although taking 2nd, he is some 26 seconds back

And the final rider, the final threat to Cornu, was Bradley Wiggins. But Wiggins can only manage 6th, so Cornu wins the race
