Now we are waiting for PCMDaily09 db. It's couple days before beta-release and I will make a fantasy story again about myself making first steps in pro-cycling.
As I said, the story will be fantasy, so I will make some "improvements" in database. First of all I will include myself. I will be ex-Under-23 World Champion, so I will make my stats not great, but not worst I chosed for my first season team Amore e Vita - McDonalds.
Secondly I will review a team roster. I will delete from the team most weak riders and add some good competeters.
So, I have two questions:
1. How do you think, would it be interesting for you?
2. What format of the story do you want? Blog or only racing story?

ad 1) I´d let your team as much same as possible as I don´t like unrealistic results through the season
ad 2) mostly hope for interesting reading, prefer good race reports, but if you want to improve your very nice english, blog is the right option
gl, what difficulty will you play? |

1) I think that it will be interesting.... again
2) would like to see mostly race report but a blog when he wins or get in difficult situation outside cycling would also be cool. like a blog about his outside life |

Of course, blog will include both racing and personal life of the rider (not mine )
beagle, thanks for your opinion, but it is wrong - my english is not quite good. Well, not as good as I want, because sometimes I have to look into dictionary to remember some words. The problem is that this forum is the only place where I can "speak" on foreign language and I don't want to forget it, so IF YOU WILL SEE GRAMMAR OR SOME OTHER MISTAKES IN MY WORDS, PLEASE TELL ABOUT IT!

hehe, I think you are wrong but of course, I agree with idea to try to improve english here on PCMdaily
and about difficulty, I think hard could bring more realistic results and be more fun for your readers...no one will expect tones of victories from you from start |

Ok, I'll start then.
Team presentation
I just returned home from my new team presentation. As you know, I signed for two years with continental team Amore e Vita - McDonalds. I am very proud that I at last have my first professional contract.
Of course you maybe want to ask me why I did chose this 3rd division team when I had proposals even from Pro-Tour team Lampre? The only thing I could say to you is that Amore e Vita is the best place for debut. We don't have huge tasks this year but will race some great races. Moreover, with new ambitious manager, Massimo Bianchi, the team will progress through the seasons with a goal to become a pro team next year and to have wild-card status within two years.
That was said by Bianchi at start of the presentation. After that team itself was introduced to journalists:
We will ride on just introduced Pinarello Dogma 60.1 bikes as Pinarello is one of our main sponsors.
It makes me very happy as I always loved Pinarello bikes. Other sponsor is McDonalds, which I don't want to speak about. Had never been at those restaurants and don't want to. "Amore e Vita" itself is a message for love and live.
The jersey this year became black instead of last year's white. This means that we won't get cold under the sun in mountains. To be honest, I like the design, guys make their best.
About races. As we are Italian-based team with American sponsor, we will take part in Italian and American races mostly. As we don't have wild-card status this year, don't expect me to take part in Giro d'Italia in May. My racing schedule starting in March, but I will tell you about team's participation in some of the races.
So long!

New team-mate
Today my team had signed new member - Eddi Ratti. I am happy for him and for the team. Eddi is strong rider, he is good at climbs and can make some results for us.
Oh! I forgot to tell about team's a mine seson goals. team doesn't have a particular goals. We just have to take ten victories and to make it to top-15 at Continental tour.
For me it would be very nice to win one race in this season. But I will be satisfied if I only will be on podium two times

Team's first race - Tour of San Luis now came to an end. Our Slovenian mate, Mitja Mahoric was not on peak, so 12th place in general classification is good. Moreover, Christian Müller had make our first victory - he had won ITT stage by only one second from Kessiakov.
Mountainbiker from Swened was too strong on that race as you can see from results:
1 Fredrik Kessiakoff Fuji - Servetto
2 Michele Scarponi Serramenti PVC + 3'27
3 Bartosz Huzarski ISD - Neri + 3'37
4 David Blanco Palmeiras Resort / Prio + 4'12
5 Glen Alan Chadwick Rock Racing + 4'46
6 Markus Eibegger ELK Haus + 4'50
7 Robert Kiserlovski Fuji - Servetto + 5'07
8 Vladimir Miholjevic Liquigas + 6'00
9 Óscar Sevilla Rock Racing + 6'44
10 David De la Fuente Fuji - Servetto + 7'46
...
12 Mitja Mahoric Amore & Vita - McDonald's + 8'35
Meanwhile in Australia there were three races that results you should know. It's Australian national championships. In time trial race Cadel Evans became champion. In road race it was Karl Menzies. My team-mate Richard England was 7th and 8th in those races. Sadly, but he was in winning breackaway in RR but dropped down in last lap.
First Pro-Tour race, Tour Down Under, was won by Boasson-Hagen. He had won ultimate stage and race itself.
When some of the riders are already in battle, me and others are just training in Italy. It's cold here. I don't like when it is cold and windy, so my fittness is not good. Actually, it's not even on middle. Hoping, that it would be warm soon

I already said that I wanted to start participating in races in March, but I could not do this. Many of my team-mates are ill for now, 8 of them are in Tour of California, where Ratti is now 7th in GC, so I had to start my season in Trofeo Laigueglia. Of course, I did not had any goals for this race and only worked for a leader - Fabio Gilioli.
The race started very fast, few breakaways tried to go away and in the one that succeed was our friend Vladislav Borisov, Russian ex-champion.
It was consisting of 10 riders firstly, but after a half of the distance Finetto, Murn, Golcer and Sobal moved there and the pace became too hard for most of the riders in breakaway. Borisov tried to sit on their wheels but it wasn't his day.
Last kilometers gave us a plenty of attacks. In every attack were involved riders from Acqua e Sapone, which rider Garzelli was pre-race favorite number one. When contenders group organized, there were five (!) riders from that team. Fabio also tried to be there, but well... he is not Garzelli... He had to sit in other group with two guys from Miche.
It was race's blow on last half km. Johnny Hoogerland attacked from the back of contenders group and gained few meters gap. It was enough for him to win the race.
I did not do any moves today, just set down in bunch. When the peloton got to finish we made a good sprint where I was one of the best, but it was only for fun. I don't care about 30th or 40th places.
Right after the race I had my first meet with vampires this season. I mean WADA house-boys. They asked for some of my blood for the tests. So instead of going to shower I had to spent half of hour with them.
The game crashed when I tried to export results. But we didn't took any good result, so it no matter

Clasica Almeria
My next race was Clasica Almeria. With Tour of California and Giro della regione Calabria in their legs our leaders were Yuri Metlushenko and his last wheel Boris Shpilevsky. The main favorite was Candido Barbosa, very good Portugeese sprinter.
The race distance was about 170 kilometers with two very long climbs. That climbs weren't too hard and we all know that it all will be decided in finish bunch sprint, so our tactics was to manage someone to early breakaway to let other riders to have some kind of rest. That man was me.
The break tries started already at the start, but at 20th km from start the group was leaved at last. It was consist of four riders with me. The problem was that they were Japanese, Spanish and Belgian, so we of course couldn't talk to each other. But when we have done 40 km of the race the group of another nine riders came to us and we could make some sort of group work with them. The gap started to grow and at start of second climb we had over 4 minutes.
I know that if we would save that gap on hill we will win the race, so I pushed very hard and I think a half of uphill I was on first position as best climber in that group. Sadly, but Contentpolis, Capinordic and Palmerias resort teams were today too strong, they quickly neutralized the gap to one minute. Of course, we were fight till the end, but with 15 km to finish peloton was "aggrupado", as they say in Spain.
"Max, make some work at front" - said to me Massimo Bianchi, so I leaved all my forces there to make a pace comfortable for Yuri. Graziano Gasparre set on my wheel, then it was Shpilevsky and at last, Metlushenko. I did my work and have gone to last positions, but it was too early for sprint and our train almost was deleted from the front.
Graziano made fantastic work at last kilometers to move back our leader. Then Boris started his sprint so fast, that it was difficult for Yuri to sit on his wheel, but with few meters to the finish, when Boris gone from the front, Yuri made his move. He was just unstoppable today and had won our third race this year!
I am very proud that I made something for that victory. I hope my fittness will grow as I started my season.
1 Yuri Metlushenko Amore & Vita - McDonald's 4h23'33
2 Fred Rodriguez Rock Racing s.t.
3 Javier Benitez Contentpolis - Ampo s.t.
4 Boris Shpilevski Amore & Vita - McDonald's s.t.
5 Enrique Mata Burgos Monumental - Castilla y Leon s.t.
6 Cesar Quiterio Centro Ciclismo de Loule - Louletano s.t.
7 Nuno Marta Centro Ciclismo de Loule - Louletano s.t.
8 Vidal Celis Barbot - Siper s.t.
9 David Blanco Palmeiras Resort / Prio s.t.
10 Oleg Chuzhda Contentpolis - Ampo s.t.
...
91 Max Belaschov Amore & Vita - McDonald's s.t.

its very good, but perhaps you could put the stage profile in the beginning of the report from now on.
Oh, and I spotted a grammar mistake, maybe it`s just a misplacing but it`s an error:
"Max, make some work at front" - said to me Massimo Bianchi
I think it should have been:
"Max, make some work at the front"- Massimo Bianchi said to me |

It's actually Max do some work at the front

Graziano did some fantastic work at the front .
and When boris had gone from the front.

Sorry for my ignorance and my bad English, a question:
What pack you use to go sprinting, banners and other than their own game ?
Thanks |
