The fourth stage is a individual time - trial. As all the other stages is rated as hilly. Efimkin isn't a time - trial specialist but the 40 seconds advantage over Wegmann should help him keeping the jersey for at least another day
The first reference time of the day was set by Martins: 14'39
Still that wasn't a great and he was easily beaten by Kiryenka, who was 10 seconds faster than the Benfica rider
Kiriyenka didn't spend too much time in the lead as right after him, his team - mate, Gutierrez came to take the lead with 14 minutes and 24 seconds
Vicioso wasn't one of the favorites at the start but he surprising took the lead, being just one second faster than Gutierrez
Now it's time to see the performances of the best 10 riders in the previous stages. 10th in the overall rankings is Veloso and he came with a pretty nice time, 4 seconds behind his team - mate
Kessler was the next rider to finish, but he got just the third place, 2 seconds slower than Vicioso and one second than his team - mate, Gutierrez Palacios
Alarcon is 8th in the overall rankings thanks to the first stage where he took part in the day's breakaway and managed to finish in one of the leading groups. Still the tt isn't his speciality and he is 21 seconds slower than Vicioso
Nicacio was also one of the first stage escapes but he is a way better time - trialist than Alarcon. And he managed to beat Vicioso for 6 seconds, giving Energie Diesel a 1-2 at the moment
Pretty nice result today for the Benfica leader, Daniel Moreno, who lost just 10 seconds to Nicacio
Calzati is definitly the worst time - trialist from the GC riders and today he lost 34 seconds to Nicacio
Taaramae won the first stage and wore the yellow jersey for one day. And this looks like going to be his second stage win as he is 4 seconds faster than Nicacio!
Yesterday's winner, Mercado, continued his good performances by taking the 6th place, 12 seconds behind Taaramae
Wegmann isn't a grea time - trialist but the uphill section helped him today losing just 24 seconds to Taaramae
Efimkin isn't a great time - trialist either but again the hills helped him, and even more than they helped Wegmann, as he finished 11th. He should have no problems keeping the yellow jersey
And he obviously keeps the jersey, with even a bigger advantage now
