Help adding new equipment plz

I've followed the instructions posted in another thread concerning adding new wheels etc. to the game. I added just shimano wheels. However when i try to choose the equipment in-game, the game freezes and closes?

I'm using the std version of the game with the database it comes with, no additional db.

Any suggestions?
