Having looked into how many teams the game is able to cope with per race, it has been decided that as of next season the ProTour in the Management Game will consist of 20, rather than 18 teams.
This means that the Top 4 Continental teams this season will be promoted, with still only the bottom 2 ProTour teams being relegated.

That raises hugely my chances to promote. Oh wait... not
Anyway, I think it's a good measure because it will make the game even more competitive. |

well with 2 more teams going to the Pro Tour your chances to promote can't go lower
I see only a good idea in this as now I'm almost sure that I will get promoted

It's a good idea really... It also piles up the pressure to have slightly more great riders in the Pro Tour, instead of them being in the CT, where they obviously don't belong.
Good decision, and I'm looking forward to ending higher than another 2 teams next year

i like it as well. increased competetion is great for the CT, especially with the larger number of teams. Also, potentially raising the number of relegated teams in the future to 3 could increase competetion in both divisions.

Ugh, I hate the elitist attititude you have with PT/CT. The point isnt that the PT teams are waaay better than CT (as you seem to think it should be, or at least that your team should be). The top CT teams should be strong enough to compete with PT teams - with obviously a promotion meaning a greater salary cap in order to build the squad depth required more for PT than CT - and that of course means thats great riders will be found in the CT, rather than PT.
And youre right Dave, the competition between divisions will be increased in 2011 with more promotion/relegation spots. Im thinking 4 or 5 right now.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I probably wasn't making myself clear enough.
Obviously there should be somewhat a higher level in the Pro Tour, looking at the average teams, but I mean that competition will increase by doing this as everyone needs to do just that extra tad of research to fit their teams into whatever needed to reach their individual goals.
And by "strenghtening" (Increasing) the amount of teams in the Pro Tour, it will make it more difficult for not only the CT teams to snatch quality, but also for the existing PT teams.
Basically I like the fact that more teams are competing over a certain amount of talents and that was what I meant, I can see that was quite unclear from my post, sorry.

4 or 5 would be great; it increases competetion greatly in both divisions which can only be a good thing.
