Hi PCM.Daily.
This will be a story of Caisse D'Èpargne. My first story on this forum ended a bit sad (and very early ) - so I hope I can continue this for a while. I’ll play on the difficulty “Hard”, with the PCM.Daily Expansion Pack.
Here goes a short presentation for the most important riders in the season:
[img-l]https://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz352/Thrige/Story%20Album/avalverde.png[/img-l] Alejandro Valverde is our main captain! He can win classics, small stage races and we do look out for a GT-victory! Alejandro has a great finish, and very nice hill skills, so he would defiantly be great in the Ardenners. But, he also has a "fine" time trial so he could actually also win stage races! Profile
[img-l]https://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz352/Thrige/Story%20Album/jrodriguez.png[/img-l] Joaquim Rodriguez is primary a rider for the hilly classics. He climbs well in the hills, and have a great finish. He has a very poor time trial, though. Therefore, he'll often be the last man for Valverde on the mountains. Profile
[img-l]https://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz352/Thrige/Story%20Album/llsanchez.png[/img-l] Luis Leon Sanchez is a great stage-race rider, with this great climbing skills, and ditto time trial. At the moment he's Spanish TT-champion, which says a lot! He'll probably be a great helper for Valverde in the GT's, though. Maybe a GT-victory in the future? Profile
[img-l]https://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz352/Thrige/Story%20Album/jrojas.png[/img-l] José Juan Rojas is something near the only sprinter on our team. But that doesn't make him to a bad one. In the future, he'll maybe be a man for a green jersey in Tour, but at the moment, we'll probably see him the most in races like Vuelta a Murcia and Route du Sud. Profile
[img-l]https://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz352/Thrige/Story%20Album/ruran.png[/img-l] Rigoberto Uran is a new kind of Valverde. He's a great climber, both in the hilly and mostly mountain races, and has a great TT for a guy in his age - because he's actually only 18 years old, at this moment in the season. Profile
We will, in the upcoming season ride on Pinarello bikes, the Prince editon, on Campagnolo wheels.
The helmets are from Giro.
And at last, but not least, our season goals:
A little translation for the “non-danish”:
Win Clasica San Sebastian
Win Tour of Basque
Top-3 in Paris – Nice
Win Vuelta a España
Stagewin in Tour de France.
Enjoy! |

Could you make the first season realistic for Valverde: like no Tour, low form in Ardennes and peaks at Dauphne and Vuelta?
Pretty please.

Well... You can see his trainingprogram under "profile". I won't let him ride the Tour, and he does not reach the 90 in the Ardennes. Quite the same in Dauphine, and then we just gamble everything on the Vuelta!

Tour Down Under Stage 1. Norwood – Mawson Lakes
For Tour Down Under we’d selected those following riders:
- Arnaud Coyot
- “Checu” Garcia Acosta
- Iván Gutierrez
- Arnold Jeanneson
- Pablo Lastras
- Luis Pasamontes
- Luis Leon Sanchez
Pablo Lastras was in the break-away today.
They couldn’t really make it work, so Lastras attacked with Julian Dean (Garmin).
At the first mountain sprint, Lastras took the points, without even fighting for them.
Dean couldn’t follow, when Lastras paced up-hill, so why not just ride alone?
He easily took the points at second mountain sprint – mission complete, he went back to the peloton.
For the sprint Garcia Acosta had made us into a fabulous position!
And Sanchez almost kept our position – a perfect deliver for Jeanneson.
But, no, Jeanneson didn’t have the powers to pass Sanchez, and it seems like the stagewin should go to Elmiger or Feillu. Or could Sanchez take the stagewin?
No. Sanchez had sprinted since 2,5 km. to go – he couldn’t do anything, while Elmiger took the win!
Norwood – Mawson Lakes:
1 | Martin Elmiger | AG2R La Mondiale | 3h31'56 | 2 | Romain Feillu | Agritubel | s.t. | 3 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 4 | Arnold Jeanneson | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 5 | Filippo Pozzato | Team Katusha | s.t. | 6 | Assan Bazayev | Astana Cycling Team | s.t. | 7 | Alexandre Usov | Cofidis, le crédit en ligne | s.t. | 8 | Enrico Gasparotto | Lampre - N.G.C | s.t. | 9 | Nick Nuyens | Rabobank | s.t. | 10 | Steven De Jongh | Quick•Step | s.t. | 11 | Lars Boom | Rabobank | s.t. | 12 | Stijn Devolder | Quick•Step | s.t. | 13 | George Hincapie | Team Columbia - High Road | s.t. | 14 | Baden Cooke | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 15 | Mikhail Ignatiev | Team Katusha | s.t. | 16 | Jose Vicente García Acosta | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. | 17 | Matthew Lloyd | Silence - Lotto | s.t. | 18 | Fabian Cancellara | Team Saxo Bank | s.t. | 19 | Christian Knees | Team Milram | s.t. | 20 | Sebastian Langeveld | Rabobank | s.t. | 21 | Boris Shpilevski | Fuji - Servetto | s.t. | 22 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Team Columbia - High Road | s.t. | 23 | Sylvain Chavanel | Quick•Step | s.t. | 24 | Alberto Ongarato | LPR Brakes Farnese Vini | s.t. | 25 | Arnaud Coyot | Caisse d'Epargne | s.t. |

Tour Down Under Stage 2 - Hahndorf – Stirling
Gutierrez crashed on yesterday’s stages, and had to leave the race. We won’t see him racing before Marts.
Anyway, Pablo Lastras was in the break-away, again. A defend on his polka jersey.
And he easily won the sprint, and lead the KoM competition with a huge margin (compared to the very little point to get).
With like 60 km. to the finish line, Luis Leon Sanchez launched an attack. A short, fast downhill made the gap, and he just rode away from the peloton.
In the sprint, Arnold Jeanneson lost Pasamontes’ wheel, so he aren’t going to get his position for a podium spot.
But who care? Cos’ Luis Leon Sanchez got our first season win, and is the new leader of the Tour Down Under. He won the race in 2005 – can he do it again? At least, an incredible win by Luis Leon!
Martin Elmiger crashed with 5 km. to go. He lost 6 minutes – and his yellow shirt.
My game crashed in the middle of the replay (luckily I saved it, so you have your screens, but couldn’t export the results. Therefore I’ll only post a top-5 of each competition.

Even if I had attacked on the climb there wouldn't be any difference... This stage is just too easy!!

No, as said in the first post, I'm playing on Hard... I've always meant, that those two stages were very, very easy... |

Have you guys seriously never been attacked on a decent in PCM? I know I have, quite a few times on the longer descents. I don't really see it as cheating due to that.

Now I'm quite new to this: Is there a way to export all the classifications? Not only the stage? Like Leader, KoM, Point and Young? |

Tour Down Under Stage 5 - Snapper Point - Willunga
Todays stage was the hardest stage in the Australian stagerace. Two rounds on the Willunga Hill, is definatly enough for making a gap.
There were 4 riders in the breakaway today.
Great for us - we just controlled the stages nice and slow. They never got more than 4 minutes.
When Willunga Hill was passed for the first time, the gap was only 2' 21.
At the second time, Niki Terpstra attacked. Lastras went after him, the same did Anthony Geslin and Lorenzo Bernucci.
Then Carlos Barredo attacked. Luis Leon Sanchez went after. Now the action begins!
Back in the peloton Cancellara, Nuyens, Devolder and Hincapie attacked!
In front, Sanchez and Lastras was the leaders. Other men in the group: Yuri Trofimov, José Luis Arrieta and Maxim Iglinsky.
But they couldn't hold the other favorites behind - Cancellara's group came up in front. Now 14 men!
Pozzato opened up the sprint. Even though Devolder tried to catch him, and came really fast on the last 200 m. Pozzato got the win!
Satisfied, Luis Leon Sanchez came in 8th place, he weren't even near the stage win, but now seems to win the Tour Down Under!
