Bizar story: The hotels in Spain..

At the hotel they were last night, they send back the pasta 3 times because it wasn't good. Then Gesink and Tankink went to check in the kitchen, and saw the chef pick up fallen pasta from the ground and still use it!

Enough for the whole Rabobank squad to get up and leave to a nearby restaurant where they DID have decent food.
If that wasn't enough, when Gesink went to his hotel room it turned out his bed was more like a 50cm bunker. He threw his matras on the ground and simply slept there

I wonder how the Vuelta organisation can put the team of the nr 2 in the general classification in such a bad place?

you believe that is because he is second in GC?
or GC 2nd should get better hotels compared to 49th. place holder?

It depends from day to day, the next day they could stay in a five star hotel. Its random, doesnt matter what team or what position in the GC.

Or maybe it is a big conspiracy? Give nurmber two (Dutch) foodpoisoning and a bad bed. Then the number one (Spanish) will stay number one...

Yup, hotels are on a rota, so the best team will have a mix of good and bad hotels, you can be in 5* one day, 2* the next. Doesn't matter what team you are, what riders you have.

(even teams such as Skil in the tour will have had high end hotels and some times)
