Last oportunity for anyone who want's to take the yellow jersey away from Danielson, especially for Henao Montoya, who seems to be his main rival at the moment. Danielson and Henao Montoyda are also the big favourites to take the stage win today
The stage started with the first climb of they day and the breakaway wasn't 100% made at that time. Colex and Gastauer were in the first group, with Colex passing first the summit
Right at the end of the climb the other massive breakaway groups were caught by the pack and the third place on the climb was taken by Broco, with Stetina and Raisin also intersted for the points
With all the others brought back in the pack Gastauer and Colex are the only escapes left and this looks like going to be the breakaway of the day
On the second climb Gaustauer again let Colex take the first spot even though he also need some points for the KoM jersey
Stetina attacked again from the pack to take the third place at the summit
After the climb ended 4 riders attacked and started the chase behind Gastauer and Colex: Remme, Herve, Vande Velde and Golcer, who also took a little advantage over the other 3
As the third climb arrived Gastauer had problems keeping it up with Colex and the BMC rider continued the race on his own
Behind them Golcer maintains his fragile advantage over Remme, Vande Velde and Herve
Starbucks are the only chasers in the pack and this might a good thing for the escapes
No problems for Colex taking his third win on a climb today
Gastauer took the second spot again, one minute behind Colex and he looks like going to be the new KoM jersey wearer.
Golcer is less than one minute behind Gastauer, while his chasers are at less than 30 seconds distance from him
On the flat portion Golcer caught Gastauer but it seems hard to do the same about Colex as the Mexican rider is at more than 1 minute and a half in front
Colex starts confident the last climb with a nice advantage over his chasers and the pack. But the climb is long and anything could happen
Speaking of his chasers Vande Velde, Remme and Herve caught Golcer and Gastauer but they don't look too good as the pack isn't far away
As soon as the pack reached the final climb the attacks started. First attacker: Peterson
Petrov was the first rider to come after him
Meanwhile there are only 3 riders in the second group of the race, behind Colex: Herve, Golcer and Vande Velde
New attacks from the pack: Raisin and Kiserlovski
And soon they joined the chasing group, as well as Peterson and Petrov
There are only a few seconds behind the pack and the chasing group and new riders are coming to the chasing group: Perez Marquez, Ochoa Quintero and Stetina
Still no moves from Danielson or Henao Montoya. Danielson still has one time to set the pace for him: Tren Lowe
And Lowe is doing a great job bringing some of the attackers back in the pack, starting with Remme, Herve, Peterson and Vande Velde and many others
Only 4 riders are still between Colex and the pack: Kiserlovski, Ochoa Quintero, Perez Marquez and his team - mate, Stetina
Stetina is the strongest there and he starts creating a gap between him and the other 3
Behind them, Henao Montoya made his move from the pack
Danileson isn't coming after him, but Parra Bustamante is
Meanwhile in front, Colex was caught by Stetina in a BMC duo but they don't have a great at the moment
Petrov also attacked from the pack, to catch Parra Bustamante, while Henao Montoya already joined the chasing group
Still no attack from Danileson, who is climbing at his own pace, but he managed to let the other riders in the pack behind
Only a few moments with Henao Montoya relaying in the chasing group and the 2 BMC, Stetina and Colex, were caught
Henao Montoya looks really strong and he went away from the others to enter in a solo lead the final 5 kilometres of the climb
Kiserlovski, Petrov, Danielson, Perez Marquez, Ochoa Quintero, Stetina, Colex and Parra Bustamante are in the second group, almost 30 seconds behind Henao Montoya
Only 3 kilometres left for Henao Montoya and he looks strong enough to keep it up
Behind, Colex and Parra Bustamante lost the contact with the chasing group and they are now in a third group with Raisin
Finaly Danileson attacks from the chasin group! He needs to win some seconds back from Henao Montoya as the Columbian started to be a real threat for his yellow jersey
Petrov was the only one that tried to keep it up with him but he had no chance
Danielson is now chasing down Henao Montoya as they aproach the final kilometre of the climb
30 seconds advantage for Henao Montoya with one kilometre to go seems enough for him to take the stage win
And the best young rider of the tour takes the second stage win for Nespresso in a row after yesterday's TTT.
Danielson didn't climb to well in the final kilometre and finshed 52 seconds behind Henao Montoya, almost caught by Petrov. The good news for Danielson is that he keep the yellow jersey but for only one second!
Kiserlovksi took the fourth place, followed at only a few seconds by Perez Marquez, Ochoa Quintero, Stetina and Parra Bustamante
Parra Bustamante managed to join the fourth group there, but Raisin didn't and he finished 9th at more than 2 minutes behind Henao Montoya
