Its the stage to Monte Petrano with 3 big climbs - should be a good one. And its also going to be another of the "re-Live" reports

A break of 8 was able to get away early on. Talabardon, Kvasina, Moinard, Klemme, Tondo, Deignan, Wu and Ponzi
Klemme took the first climb over Ponzi and Talabardon- its relatively insignificant compared to the other climbs today.
In the pack, Maes, Bozic and Sokolov got dropped on that climb. After a long chase they catch up, but dont be surprirsed if they ultimately finish outside the time limit

Incidentally, there are 2 chasers behind the break of 8 who couldnt keep with the other 8 - Ortega and Brandt.
Interest in the race really picks up on the first of 3 big climbs though as 15 men have somehow got a gap.
De la Fuente is on the front, with Cunego, Ricco, Devolder and Pozzovivvo being the big names in this group that also has the Control rider!

15 becomes 8 and Ricco wasnt paying enough attention having made the split, as he drops back. Either that or he just wasnt interested in going this early (still 90km to go).
The 8 are De la Fuente, Pozzovivvo, Cunego, Rolland, Vinokourov, Devolder, Szmyd and De Gendt - although the B&O rider is soon to be dropped

And now down to 4, the strongest 4 - De la Fuente, Cunego, Pozzovivvo and Devolder

Cunego is sitting back for now, allowing De la Fuente to do the bulk of the work - but Pozzovivvo takes advantage of this and gets a gap

The break reaches the top of the climb with 7 still there - Ponzi dropped.
Klemme takes the points once again ahead of Moinard and Talabardon

Pozzovivvo is pulling away from Cunego, Devolder and De la Fuente now, with De la Fuente still setting most of the pace, along with turns from Devolder.
By the top Pozzovivvo is around 2 minutes behind the break, and 1'45 up on the trio behind him

The pack are another 1'30 behind the trio, and are down to 32 riders.
Iglinski, Niemiec, Perez Fernandez, Rohregger and Suaza are the ones relaying

A strong descent sees him wipe out the deficit to the break and he actually goes right past them, taking the intermediate sprint
He also pulled Ponzi back to the group with the Italian managing to pick up a couple of points in the sprint - good news for him as he looks to move back into the Top 10 of the Points classification.

Cunego and Devolder also seem to have descended well as they are now also past the breakaway - De la Fuente is gone too.

So now onto the 2nd big climb, Pozzovivvo leads Cunego and Devolder by 50 seconds - with the pack just under 2 minutes after them (The early break has been caught)

Sellas has caught Devolder now, with Di Luca and Nocentini just behind.
Then there is Ricco and Pellizotti coming up
