I made one ITT Climbing at the Puy de Dome, butt will not let me open it with the Stage Editor.
<cycling>
<version name="2." />
<profile>
<start altitude="389.0" itt="1" />
<section length="2.2" slope="2.6" />
<section length="1.1" slope="7.5" />
<section length="0.7" slope="7.9" />
<sprint type="timetrial_split" />
<section length="0.8" slope="8.9" />
<section length="0.6" slope="5.3" />
<section length="1.3" slope="7.3" />
<section length="2.3" slope="1.8" />
<section length="1.8" slope="7.9" />
<sprint type="timetrial_split" />
<section length="1.1" slope="12.9" />
<section length="0.9" slope="10.9" />
<section length="0.9" slope="10.4" />
<section length="1.0" slope="11.1" />
<section length="0.5" slope="8.1" />
<section length="0" slope="9.5" />
<sprint type=""finish_itt" />
</profile>
</cycling>
What fails ?
Thanks.

When I do the 3D with the Stage Editor, on Render the stage is completely flat. I play the stage en the game and the profile is correct (with hills) but the stage is completely flat.
What is the problem? |

You don't have any waypoints.
You don't have any roads.

I have put roads and waypoints, that is not the problem
I have also tested putting roads and waypoints from other worlds championships. |

Don't understand a thing about this so don't if I will say a stupid thing, but:
<section length="0.4" slope="0" />
<start altitude="80" />
Shouldn't it be inverted?

That is not the problem
For exemple in world_barcelona:
<cycling>
<version name="2." />
<profile>
<section length="0.4" slope="0" />
<start altitude="60" />
<circuit loop="10" />
<section length="4" slope="0" />
<section length="2" slope="4" /> |

There is nothing wrong with his profile section. If you'd used the google maps - xml thingy, you'd realise that that uses about 10 numbers after each fullstop.
The stage is unplayable if there is no route to play on. It needs waypoints to say where the start is, and where the finish is. Roads are not quite so vital, but even if he just lays two waypoints, the game then knows where to start and where to finish.
If you'd put roads and waypoints, then why aren't they shown in your xml copy/paste?
You need to click the save button in the stage editor prior to rendering it, and so it can be played.
EDIT: As it's a circuit, you need at least 3 waypoints, not just two. You also only need one of the <sprint type="finish_classic" /> or <arrival />

It's pretty strange but with circuit loop you can't see the slope on render window before putting roads . You'll have to put waypoints AND roads to see the stage correctly in render window.
Second important thing : Nevers do a crossroad on the start waypoint and never start your road on the first waypoint (For circuit loop only)
(Sorry for my english )

With roads the Render does not work
I hope that helps more. |

Yes, it tells me that you, like many many many stage creators have still not worked out how to make circuits (that took me about a year to figure out myself).
I've not got the time right now, but later tonight I'll post up a xml copy of what I've made with your stage profile. Mainly cos I can't make it work for me right now either... |
