A race made for the climbers, but the 2 time - trials, one small prologue and a TTT, will also count big on the final overall rankings. Henao Montoya and the USA National Champion, Tom Danielson, are the big favourites on paper, both with good teams for the TTT as well. Petrov and Raisin could also have something to say for the overall. Kiserlovski, Stetina and Ochoa Quintero are good climbers but they will probably lose some important time in the TTs and they won't able to be a real challengers for the yellow jersey.
There only one stage sprint, the last one, so there are not a lot of great sprinters here, except Eisel, Vaitkus, Dall'Antonia and Richeze.

It's Henao Montoya's race to lose. But, it won't be that easy, BMC will make a good TTT and so will Starbucks, I guess. And the mountains are "easier" than I expected which may favour Danielson.
EDIT: Sorry the impatience, but for when can we expect the first stage?

Didn't bother to bring a sprinter for this race. The TT should be interesting. Crossing my fingers for Donald to win the TT. Danielson is going to be hard to beat.

You dont have to wait for it if you dont want to, Dunkerque should start tomorrow anyway

Then the first stage will probably come later tonight as it is already raced. I just have to crop the screenshots and write the report.

Nice
1.Starbucks
2. Nespresso
3. Acqua & Sapone
4. Ernst & Young
5. BMC
This is the team's classification based on the top 5 riders from the top 5 teams. Based on my calculations Starbucks is the clear favorite for the TTT with Nespresso through BMC all being pretty close.
Of course these numbers could mean nothing, since the TTT is hilly

Considering the fact I was already expecting Donald to win the first stage, I can't complain about Gutierrez Palacios and Mazur's results.
Looking forward to that TTT. If Nespresso loses too much time on Starbucks, Henao Montoya might not be able to recover.

Since my guys are pretty good in the hills, we might be able to drop the hammer on the rest of the field....saying that I have performed above expectations in every race so this will be the one to let me down. |

The victory here seems extremely difficult now. Victory for Henao Montoya in the next mountain stage is what I want. And, hopefully, Gutierrez Palacios and Kiryenka will cling their top 10 placements.

Not bad. The TTT needs to go well for us (which means it won't).
Peterson, Stetina capable of top 10 seemingly, Brandt strong in the break, Eastman 10th in the Youth Classification behind Stetina and Peterson, and Jacques-Maynes Leading the points classification. I have to be pleased with that.

Very good TTT. We have riders in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in the GC. Hopefully, Henao Montoya will win the next stage and Kiryenka and Gutierrez Palacios will not lose much time. |

Oh jeez, only one second
Gutierrez Palacios, fortunately, also made top 10.
EDIT: btw, very nice reports, alex.
