Yeah, thankfully we've got guys like Trump in charge making decisions based on reason.
And I won't get into the whole unfettered markets thing...
What does the person of an american president has to do with my post? I dont see any connection, apart from fact that if american president was a woman, she would have same rights and benefits as the male president.
As i wrote, there are exceptions of course, but market usually follows the general rule, not exceptions.
I think Wacko's Trump comment was a bit tongue in cheek.
I guess we'll see if a female president gets the same rights as a male one if one ever gets elected. If Clinton couldn't beat Trump then it looks like it's going to be a long time before it happens.
Thanks ringo
I felt your point wasn't really worth adressing as it's clear men aren't at all based on reason either.
Markets tend to corrupt and shouldn't be left alone on any account. And of course there are no free markets anyway.

Markets tend to corrupt only when socialist commrades try to control them and restrict them with artificial tools like social engineering.
About my main point, you can play your role like sexes have no mental and physical differencies, but that will only make you look like naive person sold to british unification doctrine. Enjoy your Orwellish future...as it stands now, i am really happy that UK wants to go out of EU, since their social experiments have no place in continental Europe.

About shit like this:
https://www.telegr...ansgender/
Or about things like 20% of all CCTV cameras in the world being in UK, about your excessive bureaucracy, about control of everyday life and many other things.
I just dont think your country is good role model for modern european society.

I think that's a bit much but you're seriously overplaying the significance of that sort of thing. Our bureaucracy is pretty average I reckon, much simpler than France in any case (and Germany and Italy I'm told).
Markets corrupt fine on their own. Banking collapse didn't come about through socialist intervention.
Then to your brilliant main point, a) if it turns out to be an Orwellian future then that'd be a shame but it's not mine as I don't live in the UK. There are various differences between men and women but this whole reason and emotion bullshit isn't one of them. While women might be more attuned to emotion, decisions by both sexes are generally made on emotion. You only have to look at the current political scene (or this thread) with any speck of reason to see that.
Edit: And please enlighten me as to what the British unification doctrine is? Are we going back to 1707?

Mate, it's not even worth talking to you. I'm very flattered that your that jealous about the UK that you want to randomly start ranting about it from nowhere, but I can't be arsed talking to a fool who is making up "facts" to support a xenophobic view about a country he's never been to.

Yeah, i am jealous, like everybody is jealous about glory of Team SKY right?
If it is not worth talking to me, dont do it man, nobody forces you to do that. I am not making up facts though, everybody who had something to do and solve with famous UK bureaucracy knows what i am talking about. CCTV thing is a fact, as are the recommendations of BMA, so what i have made up exactly?
It is you who is making up things he knows shit about, as for your information, i had lived near Norwich for two years, so your last statement is made up

So the UK is that bad a place that you've chosen to come and live here. Out of everywhere in the World you have chosen to come and live in this bureaucratic, CCTV infested, Orwellian nightmare.
It must be hell for you.

It is almost 10 years now, since i had lived there. It was not hell, you are too dramatic in that manner, but i have learned a lot of things about the country which i would not like to see in continental Europe and continetal EU countries, same could be said about France and other countries though. Dont be so nationalistic, nobody is attacking you, i just raised concerns about various things and i would even think that we share some of them...

It's a bit rich telling me not to be so nationalistic when the only person talking about specific nations is you.
I was simply reacting to the fact that this discussion had nothing to do with any particular country and then you attacked the UK for no reason. What has the UK or CCTV cameras got to do with the gender pay gap or Donald Trump?

I'd imagine we've all had stuff to solve with famous UK bureaucracy and it's a lot simpler than any other country I've had to deal with in Western Europe (partially because I'm a national of course). I'm not a big fan of CCTV cameras either. And as for the BMA recommendation, it's just that, a piece of guidance from an association, not a government edict.
And nobody lives in Norwich, at best you don't die.

Why should someone be jealous about the UK? What do they have, what others don't except for Policemen on Horses, the worst traffic on the whole face of the earth and the Queen?
It's just a normal island. They may have a great history and I like their accent, but they have nothing where someone would say: "Oh my god, I'm so jealous about that country. It's far too amazing."
Except maybe for the McLaren factory in Woking, but that just may be me.

Don't forget we've also got Force India, part of Haas, part of Mercedes, Red Bull, part of Renault and Williams. Ya jealous now?

Also, I might add something. You're talking about bureaucracy in the UK and how complicated it is....have you ever been to Germany?
Doing your tax report takes you weeks, sometimes months. We have around 150.000 laws.
We have some traffic lights in Dresden, which are always red(since 25(!) years). They have a green arrow to the right, that you also can go, when it's red, but YOU CAN ONLY GO RIGHT, so that arrow always counts.
A tank for the military had to be redesigned, because it wasn't cooled properly enough. Pregnant women could've gotten problems in that tank.
Our fighter jets had to be fitted with a green eco sticker, so that they are allowed in cities. These stickers are for the amount of CO2, a car exhausts.
In Germany, the laws also define different types of leaves. You're not allowed too move leaves which is covering pipes, which are belonging to a city, county or the state. You can only move leaves on streets if it's hindering the traffic and you can do whatever you want with leaves on your property.
Some man in Berlin lost his property, but not his house, so they actually have drawn him a small way to his house, because going on his property, which doesn't belong him anymore is violating against the law. They even put supervisors there to monitor, if he steps over the line. Here you can see it:
And no, none of these stories are jokes. They really happen here alot.

No. I don't really care for any carmanufacturer/racing Team, except for McLaren.

I don't really think/expect anyone to be jealous of the UK. I was simply making the comment as I didn't understand any other reason why someone would start attacking the UK for no reason in a discussion that up until that point had absolutely no connection to the UK.
The UK has problems, the same as any other country. There are reasons to be proud of the UK, like any other country. If someone wants to start a discussion about it then they are free to do that. But do it properly and let people who want to discuss that issue join in. Don't hijack an on-going discussion about something else with a random rant, and then get all defensive and start accusing people of being dramatic and nationalistic when they ask you what the hell has that got to do with the current discussion.

Feels awful to agree with you but this is what I'm talking about . In most advanced Western nations there's a lot of bureaucracy, kinda goes with the territory, Britain's is in my experience not that tricky. Took me over three months just to get a national insurance number here and I'm still waiting on a decision on housing benefit.

Bureaucracy is another way of saying organised. Yes, countries like Britain, Germany and France are quite bureaucratic. But they also have functioning economies and lower corruption rates in government.
I'm happy to live with a little bureaucracy and have a job than live somewhere like Greece or Italy or Spain or Eastern Europe with less bureaucracy but no economy, no job and higher government corruption rates.
