If Armstrong wants to win, why wouldn't he come back doped?
There's also this theory that Armstrong will come back 'clean' since he's eager to know if he'd actually be able to win without the dope.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see, although it's unlikely that we'll ever get an answer I'd rather put it in one of those two ways then :
- he's coming back clean as he couldn't care about the results, being there is all that matters for his publicity purposes
- he is coming back clean as he knows that even with dope he wouldn't win (too old, or can't be arsed to train as much as before, whatever) |

That doesn't make you the best rider. For me, the best rider is a rider who can compete with the best in both classics AND grand tours (and occasionaly win some of them too)
For example, this year, for me, Valverde was the best rider. He won two classics, stages in the Tour and the Vuelta, and finished top 10 in both Tour and Vuelta. For me, that's better than Contador, who might have won the Giro and the Vuelta, but sucked major donkey ass in one day races.
Back to Armstrong, in his years, he rode well in Gold Race en Liege usually, but didn't show at other races. So I don't think he was the best overall rider.

Finally, it's 100 % sure: Gustav Larsson has signed a 3 year contract renewal with CSC.
(... thanks to a huge pay raise and a guaranteed spot in the TdF) |

In other news, Scott-American Beef are losing even more riders. Pagliarini has signed with H2O who have also signed with LPR's Paolo Bailetti.
I'm still 'twisted' about American Beef. They've almost no riders left, and they have no sponsors either. |

Damn, CSC will have a great TTT team for the TdF next year, especially with Cance and Larsson pulling it along |

They would be stupid not to use Larsson in the TDF next year.

I personally think Garmin's TTT team for the Tour is more impressive than CSC with Zabriskie, Millar, Wiggins and Vandevelde!
And Silence Lotto is not bad either with Evans, Dekker, Lang and Vandenbroeck. |

The thing you must take into account is that Larsson and Cancerlara are both Individual Time Trials. It often doesn't mean putting a lot of Individual guys for the team time trial. For examples. Garmin in the Giro lots of individual and in 3rd only 7 seconds out was High Road with lots of sprinters and only second rate ITT'ers (apart from Pinotti) |

True, but guys like Lang, Wiggins, Cancellara, Larsson and Voigt that has so much power is proberbly some of the best TTT'ers aswell, as power is very important in TTT.

Yes because they suit each other well. All very powerful guys. But its highly unlikely that you would firstly have a team like that and secondly send a team like that. Sprinters are surprising good TTT'ers because the efforts needed to sustain speed when finishing a turn and reaching the back. However Cancellara often has problems in TTT's as when he hits the front for 20 seconds he will go too hard for 10 and then fade for the other. In TTT's it isn't about going fast and then slowing its about having the best constant speed. |

True, I remember Milram 2/3 years ago (when they still had Petacchi and helpers) were a very good TTT team as well... |

Its probably been mentioned and i haven't read it, Michael Mørkøv has signed for Saxo Bank - IT Factory for next year. I think its an interesting sign and a lot of people have good faith in him to produce something big. I think Riis is hoping he can be the next Cavendish. He has the same Fizik unlike his partner Rasmussen who didn't really do a whole lot in 2008, I'm unsure on how Mørkøv will do. He has a good sprinters build and will have brought a lot of speed and control on the track. I'm interested |

He did more on the road than Morkov Including numerous Qinghai Lake stage wins |

Yes, but Qinghai Lake for a sprinter of that class isnt really a whole lot. He was Danish champion and thats the type of road wins i would think he should be pulling off. Most of the Qinghai Lake races were the crits or the very flat stages... |

Well it was better than Morkov did in that race and besides, wasnt Rasmussen focusing on the Olympics? Both were very important parts of the Danish Team Pursuit squad |

Yes he was focusing on the Olympics, you have to note down though that this may change how well Mørkøv does, better training etc... There is a big difference from GLS and Saxo Bank... |

A similar difference surely between Designa Kokken and Saxo Bank, the move Rasmussen is making? |
