Olympics or not, i sense a hint of a certain Mario in him.

We shouldn't see that many differences today, I think. That said, with the rain, chances of a bad day for Menchov are considerably higher.

iso,
how much do you assume the riders weigh?
The calculations are done by cyclismag.com, all I did was compare the values between different riders and different races. I certainly didn't do the calculations, as I thought was obvious.
These powers are relative powers. they're adjusted for each rider's weight, so that they can be compared. In this case, they're adjusted to what they would be if every rider weighed 70kg.

Did Cipollini ever even try to get over the mountains? Cavendish got through the Pyrenees and if it werent for the Olympics, I think he would have kept on going through the alps until he was physically unable to continue.
He has already made it through the particularly mountainous Giro this year

My un-biased prediction for today's stage winner: Alejandro Valverde.

I have been critical of Cav, but I do not think he is lazy at all. Yesterdays stage was already a stage too far for him and with the olympics comming up he just can not finish the tour, age has to be taken in to consideration too. |

Devolder dropped with Mcewen and Casper
im pretty surprised Pate as hanging on to the others in the break over the Agnel, the gap is about 13 minutes

I still think we'll have to wait until tuesday for anything interesting.
Today it's basically a one climb stage. one climb which isn't that hard. I say sprint between the climbers. If Valverde and Cunego don't hang on, Menchov takes it.

Very very nasty Crash by Oscar Pereiro, he crashed into the barrier and went right over down into the road ahead of the bunch. He wasn't moving and it seemed that there was a branch next to him. I hope he is ok... |

Broken Collarbone and Femur. Let's hope it's not the end of his career.

Vande Velde going down can't be a good thing I hope it won't affect his performance, but it's probably a vain hope.
Cunego and Nibali also went down
